III. Meeting Proper:


The meeting has come into order at exactly 8:30 in the morning with
Jennifer P. Balume, School Head, as the facilitator. In the LAC session, various
teaching pedagogies and approaches were discussed. Blended learning and
modular distance learning modality were given emphasis since it is the schools
mode of learning delivery.

Information such as blended learning can be a combination of two


modes of learning delivery. Learners and teachers can use online platform to
send updates, concerns and queries. Videos and links can also be sent in
messenger for learners’ reference.

Teachers were also reminded to be innovative and creative in making


learning activity sheets and performance tasks.

Teachers were reminded to include 21st century skills developing learners


lesson plans, contextualize DLL/DLP suited to learners.

The meeting formally started at exactly 2:00 PM and call to order to sit
down together with the 18 teachers regarding Lesson planning in correction
with the Classroom Observation as prescribed in the RPMS Portfolio. It started
with an opening prayer lead by Mrs. Pinky A. Tubongbanua. Attendance were
checked followed by the meeting proper.

Mrs. Balume refreshed teachers of the appropriate way to do lesson


planning. She emphasis that need to contextualize activities that suited in
learners’ level of intelligence is very crucial. Furthermore, classroom
Observation in connection with the RPMS has 9 indicators. All were vital to
achieve successful learning. Activities and assessment tool should be aligned in
the target learning competencies. Make sure to include reminders in observing
proper health protocol, she added.

She discussed, other related documents to be included in the


presentation, how to rate the teacher presenter and how much time should be
allotted in one lesson plan.

The session was adjourned at exactly 4 PM.

IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR TEACHERS

1. Orientation on the Implementation of the Most Essential Learning
Competencies (MELCs)
2. Other matters

III. Meeting Proper:

The meeting formally started at exactly 8:00 AM and call to order together with
the 18 teachers on the Orientation on the Implementation of MELCs and Budget of
Works. It started with an opening prayer lead by Mr. Orly B. Liberal. Attendance were
checked followed by the meeting proper.

Mrs. Jennifer P. Balume acted as speaker to discuss the topic. According to her,
learning competencies were narrowed down to the Most Essential learning
competencies (MELCs) to address the need of new normal education system and
improve teacher’s performance and mastery of teachers and to ensure learning despite
academic crisis brought by the pandemic.

She also discussed the Budget of Works. It is a set of guides containing specific
MELCs, number of days to be taught in reference to the targets of each learning area
and grade level. She added that this MELCs should be smart.

According to her, all learning competencies or MELCs have to be taught in


specific mandator, non-negotiable contact days or weeks as reflected in the Budget of
Works. The total number of days in a year as declared By DepEd shall be used by the
School Head on the conduct of quarterly exams, co -curricular activities with the
observance of health protocol.

She emphasized that MELCs should have appropriate assessment tool and
procedure to ensure learning. According to her, the following learning delivery options
shall be applied in teaching and meeting the MELCs: face-to-face classes, modular
distance learning modality and television/radio-based instruction, and blended
learning. But the school will focus on modular print. Teacher were required to pass
their budget of works.

The participants were all cleared about the topic. It has been explained by the
facilitator.
