1. Air conditioning in the switch room and control system rooms

Air-conditioning in electrical and in instrumentation rooms will be divided into two

groups. These groups differ from each other according to necessary scope of air
temperature (or humidity, acceptable contamination with H2S, DMS, DMDS...,
dustiness) in the room.

Group A:

Pressure ventilation with supply of needed amount of fresh air is sufficient for least
demanding operations with required air temperature ranging from 0°C to 35°C.
Ventilation plant may be perfected with:
1 – pocket air filter
2 – switching the speed of ventilator

Group B :

Includes operations with more demanding requirements on air quality (e. g. control
rooms, electronic and computer centers, control centers, etc.), where the special
attention has to be paid to air freshness (in terms of solid dust particles and amount
of noxious agents).

These rooms have to be equipped with the following air conditioning units:

1/ Air conditioning unit for air quality improvement

These air conditioning units help to supply the personnel with fresh air, help to make
overpressure against surroundings or help to heat the room up to required
temperature. The proportion between air circulation and fresh air has got to be
regulated in the range from 0 and 100% so as to cool the space with outside air
during the most of the year.

2/ Air cooling system

This air conditioning system serves to keep the upper limit of required air temperature
in the given rooms (alternative cooling).

Note:

1/ When proposing air conditioning unit it is necessary to have regard for surrounding
temperature against local sources of heat in just cases.
2/ When proposing air conditioning unit it is necessary to consider long-term extreme
temperatures (summer time).
