Thinking Philosophy

This is an activity/assignment for topic 1 wherein students must answer the following
questions regarding themselves as fully and specifically as they can:

1. How would you describe yourself?

In everything I do, I see myself as someone who is ambitious, enthusiastic, and

dedicated. I set myself routines and goals, and I'm always driven to do my best every day. I'm
always looking for self-improvement articles that can help me become a better version of
myself. Reading books, doing new things, and getting out of my comfort zone allows me to
form a habit that will greatly benefit me.

2. What are the qualities that differentiate you from other selves?

Empathy, kindness, and self-awareness are the qualities that set me apart from other
selves, as I've noticed that individuals nowadays find it difficult to understand, forgive, and
consider one another. I am certain that being emphatic and giving love to those around me
helps me grow as a human being. People like this are rare especially in these difficult times.

3. In what ways has your self changed during the course of your lifetime? In what ways has it
remained the same?

As time passed, I grew into a more mature person. I am capable of doing things on my
own and am just little reliant on my parents. I would never ask my parents for money if I can
afford the items I need and want. Instead of playing online games, I concentrate on my
education. But the most important aspect of my transformation is that I am now stronger. My
mental stability helps me not to be easily influenced by other people's opinions or when I am
asked for who I am. Despite my progress, I continue to be kind and ambitious. If someone
does not believe in my abilities, I will never hurt them in the same way that they have
damaged my sanity. Instead, I continue to strive to comprehend them and utilize them as
motivation to pursue my goals.

4. How would you describe the relationship of yourself to your body?

My relationship with my body is intertwined. I already have an idea of what I want and need.
And what I need and want is influenced by what my body requires and desires. I consider my
body in every decision I make since it is an integral part of who I am.

5. How are you able to come to know other selves? Do you think they are similar or different
from you?

As I attempt new activities and enter new environments, I discover my other selves. My other
selves, I believe, are distinct from me. I used to be frightened of swimming when I am still a
young girl, which is why I used to despise going to the pool or the beach. However, when I
attempted to challenge myself, I worked extremely hard to overcome my fear. Fortunately, I
found myself good at swimming. And it was by stepping outside of my comfort zone that I
learned I am good at things I am afraid of which is differs from myself before.

6. What do you think will happen to you when you die? If you believe that your self will
continue to exist in some form will you be able to recognize other selves who have died?
How?

I believe that once our brain cells die, our brain will lose its ability to produce consciousness
or store memories, and we will cease to exist. So, I'm not sure what happens after I die, but if
my soul is still alive, I believe that I will have a second or another life. We will live a new life
and start a new journey. Thus, I can no longer remember the things that happened in the past.
No matter how certain I am that I know everything about myself, it will all be lost when I die.
For all those who were created by God will come to an end.
