COMPTUTORIZED: EDTECH EMPOWERMENT TRAINING FOR TEACHERS

At exactly 3:15 in the afternoon, the session started with a prayer

and roll call of participants from kinder to the sixth grade teachers. The
first resource speaker, Mrs. Odessa H. Pabellano, introduced a software
app known as Plickers, which can be downloaded from google play store.

Plickers as defined, is a rapid-response classroom-polling app that

lets teachers use one mobile device to scan paper cards for student
responses. The teacher holds up a device such as a phone or a tablet and
scans students' responses, which are recorded. The teachers were given
instructions on how to use the app and eventually accomplished hands on
activities that would enhance their skills towards technological
advancement of 21st century educators and learners.

Next resource speaker, Miss Zyra Catherine Morales, introduced the

Microsoft OneNote software app wherein it is a digital notepad organizer
that lets you take notes on your phone and sync them across all your
devices. You can take notes, write memos, make a digital sketchbook
right on your phone, capture pictures and add images as well. Sync notes
across your devices to access them anytime, anywhere.

Teachers were delightful about the innovations and trends in

edtech. Through this global technological advancement in education,

facilitating learning and teaching-learning process would widen horizons

of skills and knowledge in the field of education and technology.
