ZZISH K TO 3 BRIGDING PROGRAM

The Bridging Program initiated by the Schools Division Office of Balanga City plays a vital
role in the overall learning recovery plan. Its primary objective is to empower students with
essential skills and knowledge in English, Math, and their Mother Tongue language. This
comprehensive program recognizes the importance of equipping learners with the foundational
prerequisites necessary for their current grade levels.
At Bagong Silang Elementary School, the Bridging Program kicked off with the crucial phase
of identifying the specific skills and knowledge gaps that students needed to address. These gaps
were identified based on each student's grade level, ensuring that the program was tailored to their
individual needs.
On September 9, 2022, the Pre-test was conducted. Students selected for the Pre-test were
identified by their respective advisers, ensuring that those who would benefit most from the
program were included. In the case of Grade 1 students, the test was held in the Audio Visual
Room, where they could comfortably engage with the assessment.
Grade 2 teachers, namely Cherry Rose Tolentino, Dianne Montevirgen, and Janeth Q.
Atuan, played pivotal roles in facilitating the Pre-test. Their assistance ensured that students had
the necessary support and guidance throughout the assessment process. What made this Pre-test
distinctive was the departure from traditional pen-and-paper testing methods. Instead, Bagong
Silang Elementary School provided students with modern tools such as tablets, laptops, and a
limited number of mobile phones to take the test.
The Pre-test was administered through the Zzish platform, a dynamic digital teaching tool
tailored for classroom settings. This platform offered several advantages, most notably real-time
feedback on each student's progress. To make this possible, every student was registered in the
Zzish online platform, ensuring that their performance could be monitored and assessed
effectively.
The Pre-test covered critical areas such as reading comprehension and numeracy skills,
crucial foundations for a well-rounded education. Importantly, the test was designed without a
strict time limit, granting students the opportunity to carefully read, analyze, and solve problems.
This approach fostered a conducive environment for learning and allowed students to perform at
their best.
To ensure that every student could utilize the digital tools effectively, the Grade 2 teachers
provided essential guidance. This encompassed instructions on how to use the gadgets, the login
process for the Zzish platform, how to approach and answer questions, and the procedure for
saving their responses.
In summary, the Bridging Program's Pre-test at Bagong Silang Elementary School
demonstrates a proactive and innovative approach to assessing and addressing students' needs. By
leveraging modern technology and personalized support from dedicated educators, this program
aspires to bridge learning gaps and provide every student with a solid foundation for academic
success.
