Objective:

1. To study the working of a Positive Clipper


2. To study the working of a Positive Clipper with Positive Bias

5. To study the working of a Negative Clipper with Positive Bias
6. To study the working of a Negative Clipper with Negative Bias

1. Positive Clipper:

1. Draw the circuit diagram as shown.

2. The voltage source is assigned as follows: -

3. Run the simulation and provide the transient analysis as follows:-

4. The time period for a frequency of 1 KHz is 1ms. To see the output for 5 cycles, stop time is taken as
5ms.

Positive peak amplitude is: 0.643 V


Negative peak amplitude is: -4.559 V

2. Positive Clipper with Positive Bias:

Result:

Positive peak amplitude is: 1.662


Negative peak amplitude is: -4.527 V

Exercise 1
1. Repeat the above experiment with the battery voltage values of 2V and 3V.

Positive peak amplitude is: -3.303 V


Negative peak amplitude is: -4.542 V
