PART A: Electrical Machines


Duration: 1H30. Workload: 30% 30 Marks

Objective: this part, aids to evaluate the skill of candidate to:
 Explain the organisation and the functioning of electrical machines;
 Adapt a load to an electrical machine;
 Exploit the characteristics of an electrical machine.
The machines of which investigation should be carried out are:
 Static machines (single-phase and three-phase transformers);
 Direct current machines;
 Single-phase and three-phase asynchronous machines;
 Single-phase and three-phase synchronous machines;
This part should be carried out at less on two different machines and related questions
such as:
 Technological study;
 Modelisation;
 Functioning;
 Estimation of powers.
PART B: Generation and Electrical installations
Duration: 2H30. Workload: 40% 40 Marks
Objective: this part, aids to evaluate the skill of candidate to:
 Study and implement electrical equipment;
 Dimensioning and choice of apparatus;
 Power estimate of industrial system;
This part should be carried out at least on two sections that can be independent.
Section I: Generation and transmission lines.
This section should contain the following elements:
 Technology of electrical power plant generation;
 Elements of power plant dimensioning;
 Architecture and equipment of a transmission network.
Section II: electrical installation.
This section should contain the following elements:
 Lighting project (dimension of luminary, choice of apparatus);

 Study of electrical energy (power estimate, power factor correction, choice of
power transformer);
 Dimensioning and choice of electrical apparatus;
 Dimensioning and choice of canalisations;
 Safety and protection.
PART C: Power control and linear feedback
Duration: 2H00. Workload : 30% 30 Marks
Objective: this part, aids to evaluate the skill of candidate to:
 Describe the operation of a power converter;
 Study on the technological plane and quantitative, a chain of production containing
static converters;
 Explain the function of constitutive elements of a chain of regulation in industrial
section;
This part should be carried out at least on two sections that can be independent.
Section I: power electronic.
This section should contain the following elements:
 The technology of components;
 Study of power electronic static converters.
Section II: linear feedback.
This section should contain the following elements:
- Analysis of linear linear control system;
- characterization of linear control system;
- PID regulator for linear feedback control systems.

11.EVALUATION CRITERIA
The base of the evaluation will be focus on the following elements:
 Calculations exactitude (literal statement should be allocated 50% of mark for the
question and 50% for the final result);
 Presentation of tables, curves or graphs and diagrams;
 Method used, clear definitions and pertinent analysis.

NB: the subject should be accompanied by its marking guide well structured.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE: this paper entitled”Electronic for Electrotechnics” has as


purpose to study the technology of components, do the qualitative and quantitative
analysis of analog and digital circuit.

PART A: Analog Electronic
Duration: 2H25 Min. Workload: 60% 30 Marks
Objective: candidate should be able to explain the operating principle of basic
components, expose and make use of basic analysis concept of analog electronic circuits.
This part contains four sections tables on the following items:
 Semi-conductors: diodes, transistors in static mode: 10% 6 Marks.
 Transistors Amplifier (Bipolar Junction Transistors ou JFET) : 15% 9 Marks.
 Basic circuits of Operational Amplifier: 15% 9 Marks.

 Analog filters or sinusoidal oscillators: 15% 9 Marks.

PART B: Digital Electronic


Duration: 1H10 Min. Workload: 30% 20 Marks
Objective: candidate should be able to explain the operating principle of basic
components, expose and make use of basic analysis concept of digital electronic circuits.
The two items which should be touched are:
 Combinatory logic: 15% 9 Marks.
 Sequential logic: 15% 9 Marks.
PART C: SIGNAL PROCESSING
Duration: 25 Min. Workload: 10% 10 Marks
Objective: candidate should be able to give mathematic statement of a signal.
One of the following items should be tabled:
 Sampling / quantization of signals.
 Fourrier’s transformation.

10- EVALUATION CRITERIA


The evaluation is focus on the following aspects:
- Exactitude of calculations (literal statement should be allocated 50% of mark for the
question and 50% for the final result);
- Presentation of tables, curves or graphs and diagrams;
- Method used, clear definitions and pertinent analysis.

sequential automatism and PLC.
The following aspects should be targeted:
 Flow charts:
- Flow chart level I;
- Flow chart level II (viewed at the control point of the system);
- Viewed at the operating part.
 Technology of the materialization:
- Sensors;
- Pre-actuators;
- Actuators;
- Circuits diagrams.
 Programming of PLC.
 Wiring of PLC.

PART B: Awareness of industrial communication.


Duration: 1 Hour Workload: 30% 15 Marks

Objective: this part aids to evaluate, the theoretical knowledge of the candidate within an
industrial communication environment.
Industrial networks: 30 Min. Workload: 15% 7 Marks
 Topology of local Ethernet Network;
 Industrial application of Ethernet networks;
 Standard communication on Area network;
 Network functionalities;
 International standard;
 Interconnection networks.

The evaluation is based on the following aspects:
