ed Removing and installing

1 Detach battery ground lead.

2 Remove the top cross-member. AR88.00-B-2302A

3 Press the complete radiator unit (8) forward.

4 Release the radiator shroud latches (7) and

unhook the coolant piping (9).

5 With the retainer (5) immobilize the coolant l 611 589 00 40 00

pump pulley.

6 Unscrew the center bolt (4) of the hydrody- BA20.40-B-1001-01D

namic coupling of fan (1) and lift out, upwards,
the fan (2) with the radiator fan shroud (7).

7 Remove the fan (2) from the fan´s hydrody- i The mounting position of the fan in rela-
namic coupling (1). tion to the hydrodynamic coupling (1) is
defined by means of the ribs of fan (2).

p Store the fan´s hydrodynamic coupling

only in vertical position, never store it in hori-
zontal position.
