S + V + so much/little + uncountable N + that + clause
- I have so few friends that I need to make new friends.
- We have so many books that we can open a bookstore.
- He has so little money that he can't buy anything.
- Children have so much homework that they don't have
time for relaxing.
Too: quá (mang nghĩa tiêu cực) Enough: đủ
…too + adj/adv… …adj/adv + enough…
- Children are too worry about the test next week. - He is totally old enough to dirve a car.
- Some people drive too fast in highway. - The speecher speaks loudly enough to hear.
…too + much/many + N… …enough + N…
- The waiter put too much sugar in the coffee cup. - Students still have enough time to finish the exam.
- You have bought too many clothes although you
haven't worn all of them yet.
We say enough/too…for sb/sth:
- Does Joe have enough experience for the job?
- This bag isn’t enough for all my clothes.
- That shirt is too small for you. You need a larger size.
But we say enough/too…to do sth:
- Does Joe have enough experience to do the job? (not for doing)
- We don't have enough money to go on holiday right now.
- She's not old enough to have a driving license.
- She's too young to have a driving license.
- Let's get a taxi. It's too far to walk home from here.
The following example has both for ... and to ...:
- The bridge is just wide enough for two cars to pass each other.
- There is enough money in the bank for me to buy a new house = I have enough money to buy a new house.
- The water is too hot for me to drink.
-The zebra runs too quickly for tiger to keep up.
