B. Solve the following problems.

1. Upon examining the monthly billing records of an online book company, the auditor takes a
sample of 15 of its paid accounts. The amounts collected by the company were: P240, P1000,
P2100, P850, P750, P620, P2310, P1200, P1500, P870, P920, P630, P1050, P450, and P380.
Determine the values of the following measures:

a. Mean: 991.33
b. Median: 870
c. Mode: No mode

2. During the last few days, HLJ Oil Company has requested rate increases several times. As a
result of the granted rate increase, the following revenue amounts were earned: P20 million,
P19.2 million, P18.7 million, P10.2 million, P22 million, P17.5 million, P14.6 million, P13.2
million, and P16.3 million. What is the median for the revenue amounts realized?

Answer: ₱ 17.5 million

C. Compute the weighted mean of each item and overall weighted mean, then supply the 290-
description rating based on the computed mean.
