added to a base words or root word to
form a new meaning.

What is Prefixes/Prefix?

Prefixes are words that are found


at the beginning of the word.
Okay very good! Prefixes are words
that are found at the beginning of the
base word or the root word. Prefix is a
special group of letters because it can
change the meaning of the root word
and make an entirely new word. A
prefix is a group of letters and not a
word that can stand on its own.

Like for example:

Antibody, antisocial

make words by the use of prefixes. Now
lets move on to the suffixes.
What is Suffixes/ Suffix?

Suffixes are words that are found


at the end of the word.

letters added at the end of a word to
form another word or new meaning.
