I. INTRODUCTION
The proposed product of CHL’s Fun Snacks business venture (CHL’s pronounced as
“chills”) are turon and siomai. These products are made especially for those who loves eating
snacks or merienda.
We, filipino people are fond of eating snacks, as finger and street foods. Merienda in the
Philippines can mean sweet or savory fare and they can range from a few bites to maybe even
something as filling as a main meal. There is also a mid-morning merienda, enjoyed around 10
in the morning between breakfast and lunch, and the traditional afternoon merienda usually
enjoyed around 3-5 in the afternoon between lunch and dinner. Merienda, which mostly means
a light afternoon snack in Europe and Latin America, is a term that was passed on to the
Filipino people during the colonization of the country by Spain. Currently, the term (also called
minindal in Filipino) is now a generic term for snacks or meals outside the traditional staples of
breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There are a number of small meals or snacks that Filipinos enjoy.
There is a light meal before breakfast, mostly taken by manual laborers like fishermen and
farmers to keep their energy up.
Our proposed product maybe a common merienda but, CHL’s Fun Snacks innovate and
enhance its traditional way of making and preparing turon and siomai snacks. These merienda
are serve with love and compassion. Upon preparing our products, food safety and health
protocols are strictly observed. We’ve made it more delish and classier compared to other
similar business ventures.
As a starting business amidst of the pandemic, we make sure that people from rural
areas; age ranges from 10 years old and above can afford to avail our product because othey
can feel and enjoy the gastronomic delights they will encounter eating our snacks. This really
prove that Filipinos are certified food lovers.

II. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS
The proponents will engage in crunchy banana turon and siomai production. It will serve
as a production firm under partnership, located at Homapon Legazpi City and Castilla
Sorsogon. The target market are people from rural areas; age ranges from 10 years old and
above. The suggested selling price is Php30.00 per tub. In order to introduce the product and
engage in more in our target market, the proponents will use several promotional and
marketing strategies such as limited free taste offer, fliers; to be disseminated in the public,
and promotional ads in any social media platforms; such as facebook, messenger, and
Instagram. The proposed products will be sold per tub, fresh, hot and properly sealed at the
same location as the production site. The production period will start at October 2021 to
December 2021.
Production of the crunchy banana turon and siomai will not be similar to the existing
traditional preparation. Our turon is a deep-fried banana roll or banana lumpia served as a
snack or dessert. It is a popular Filipino snack consisting of banana wrapped in a deep-fried
spring roll wrapper, usually coated with caramelized sugar. Turon’s popularity comes from its
simplicity and availability. Since the ingredients are both cheap and plentiful, the snack is one
of the most accessible treats in the Philippines. It is also one of the most common street foods,
sold by many street vendors in both urban and rural areas. Slices of jackfruit often accompany
the banana as a filling. It is served warm with a drizzle of caramel. While our siomai comes in
different flavors and types of meat. Among the top reasons many love this dish is that you can
serve it ay any occasion. It is also something that you can have for breakfast, lunch, dinner,
and even midnight snacks.
This business venture project will benefit the students, teachers, and the community.
The product will be available in the market and can add income to another starting
entrepreneur.
