SECTION I: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Best Description of the Project

The name of our company is Vicinity Company. The main goal of our
company is to bring people closer together and maintain a good relationship
with other by giving them a delicate product to provide a high customer
satisfaction for every customer who wants to experience new and delicious
potato snack. The purpose of this product is to provide students with
inexpensive, wholesome snacks during their breaktime and best for barkada
snack. We intended to give them a snack that is healthy for their bodies and
beneficial to their wellbeing.

A. Innovativeness
Affordaballs' concept is distinct from that of other products on the
market. Because potatoes and cheese, as the main ingredient, is a perfect
combination that will give satisfaction to the customers. Additionally, potatoes
are considered a complex "healthy" carb, your body digests them faster than
other types of complex carbs which is excellent alternative for rice.
Affordaballs are unique potato snack which people can eat as a
"meryenda" or "barkada snack" because it tastes distinct from the other goods.
When it comes to the customer's tastes, Affordaballs provides a very affordable
option. It's really cheesy, delicious, and has health benefits.

B. Social Impact
By producing and selling product, this may contribute to local or regional
economic development. This can create job opportunities for individuals
involved in the production, packaging, distribution, and sale of the product.
Additionally, if the source of the ingredients locally, this may support local
farmers and suppliers, boosting their livelihoods and the overall economy.
Depending on the pricing and availability of the product, it can
contribute to making nutritious food options more accessible to a wider range
of people. This is particularly important if the product is affordable, easy to
find, and suitable for individuals with different dietary needs or restrictions.
Additionally, potatoes and cheese are both food items that can provide
essential nutrients to consumers. If the product is made with high-quality
ingredients and offers a balanced nutritional profile, it can contribute positively
to people's diets. This can enhance their overall health and well-being.
In addition, the company has environmental considerations, it's worth
considering the environmental aspects of the company’s product. Sustainable
sourcing practices, packaging materials, and waste reduction initiatives can
have indirect social benefits. Consumers are increasingly concerned about the
environmental impact of the products they consume, so addressing these
aspects can positively influence their perception of the company’s brand and
its social responsibility.

C. Green Marketing
In green marketing, businesses focus on their brand, goods, or
philanthropic initiatives by highlighting their environmental and sustainable
practices. Promoting ecologically friendly goods and practices is an important
part of any company’s marketing strategy, and green marketing is a great
method to show the dedication a brand has toward saving the planet.
There are several advantages to green marketing, including:
 Keeping costs down while increasing profits.
 Taking social and environmental obligations very seriously.
 Increasing the trustworthiness of a brand.
 Making business decisions that are good for the environment.
 Developing closer relationships with the people you want to influence.

D. Profitability
Affordaballs will be based in Looc, Catarman, Camiguin and will be
established as a partnership firm. The overall project will cost about four
hundred pesos (P 400.00) because of the higher cost of ingredients, supplies,

SECTION II: BACKGROUND AND BUSINESS CONCEPT

At this time, several innovations are taking place as the food business
expands as a result of global economic expansion. People nowadays are looking
for inexpensive but nutritious food that would fill their hungry stomachs and
please them. Potatoes, on the other hand, are an excellent alternative for rice
because they are a carbohydrate-rich vegetable. However, while potatoes are
considered a complex "healthy" carb, your body digests them faster than other
types of complex carbs. These broken-down carbohydrates fill your
bloodstream with sugar. This causes your blood sugar to rapidly rise.
Furthermore, potatoes are commonly utilized in Filipino dishes such as nilaga,
menudo, and so on. It is also suitable for snacks and appetizers such as fries
and baked potatoes.
As a result, the proponents came up with the idea of creating a unique
potato snack. A potato snack that will satisfy customers not only because it is
delicious and nutritious, but also because it is inexpensive and easily available.
A potato cheese balls, with potatoes and cheese as the major ingredients, that
will provide the customer with high-quality satisfaction and health advantages.
The company will also promote Camiguin as the source of the major ingredient,
the potato, and because promoting local products and supporting local farmers
and suppliers is the key highlight of our planned business.

SECTION III: DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS

The company is of the manufacturing diversity, and it will serve people

by giving them snacks that are of the highest quality possible. The company is
fresh to the market because it makes the only potato cheese balls with cheese
and potatoes as the primary ingredients.
The company's goals are to: (1) succeed in the market and prevail over
the competition; (2) make people closer by offering high-quality products and
services to the customers; (3) maintain and increase the number of targeted
customers; (4) offer inexpensive yet delectable product; and (5) offer consumers
convenient and healthy products.
The place of business will be at Looc, Catarman, Camiguin. It would help
cater for the hunger needs of the teachers and students of Camiguin National
High School.
The company will employ people who are eager to share and apply their
expertise and skills in the creation of our product, as well as those who are
persistent and passionate. We'll provide them with chances to learn about and
apply each of the subjects mentioned above. The company will benefit from
growth in both its operations and its workforce, which will also result in
increased revenue and profit. Additionally, we can offer our customers high-
quality goods and services, which will help to market our brand and products

SECTION V: MARKETING PLAN

The component includes product market definition, demand-supply

analysis, marketing plans and objectives for short-term operations, developing
the company's competitive advantage, and marketing techniques applicable in
terms of price and promotion.

Target Market
As we know, food is one of the basic necessities of life. Something that
has nutrients is a food. Nutrients are substances that give the body the energy
it needs for activity, growth, and give the body the building blocks it needs for
growth and repair as well as for maintaining a strong immune system. But food
is more than this. Food may also provide contentment and happiness, which is
why individuals seek out nutritious and delicious foods to satisfy their hunger
and thirst. As such, the proponents want to provide the consumer with high-
quality satisfaction. The following are the target customers:
 Students and Adults – Appeal to students and adults who are seeking
quick, easy, and cost-effective meal solutions. Position Affordaballs as a
convenient and satisfying snack or lunch option for busy schedules and
limited budgets.
 Comfort Food Enthusiasts – Target individuals who appreciate
comforting and indulgent foods. Position Affordaballs as a delicious
comfort food with its combination of potatoes and cheese. Promote its
warm, hearty nature to attract those seeking cozy and satisfying snacks.
 Convenience Seekers – Target busy professionals or individuals with
hectic lifestyles who are looking for convenient and time-saving food
options. Promote Affordaballs as a hassle-free and easily prepared snack
or meal that can be enjoyed on the go or during breaks.

Price
Price is the value assigned to a good or service and is determined by a
complicated series of calculations, research, and risk-taking skills. A pricing
strategy considers factors such as market conditions, consumer willingness to
pay, competition activity, trade margins, and input costs, among others. Target
audiences include the specified clients and rival businesses.
Some consumers' perceptions of your company, product, or service are
influenced by the price you set, which results in a perceived value. Your brand,
image, or position in the market are all impacted by this. And these need to be
taken into account in order to earn money and recover the investments. The
advocates are going to select prices that are reasonable for the business
industry. As a result, Affordaballs may compete with other rivals and continue
to work in the business industry.

7
Product
Affordaballs are a convenient food that is made of fresh potatoes as raw
material, then through cleaning, peeling, slicing and flavoring, and other
processes. Affordaballs are popular among people for crispy, flavorful,
nutritious, inexpensive, and suitable for both young and old.
Affordaballs are crispy, flavorful, nutritious, inexpensive, and suitable for
both young and old. This product is designed to satisfy customers; thus, the
proponents will ensure the product's quality. Proponents will utilize high-
quality ingredients for this. The food will also be cooked on a low-medium heat
to ensure that it is thoroughly prepared. The company will also be in charge of
the hygiene and sanitation of the facility where the product will be prepared.
Personal safety equipment such as gloves, a hair net, an apron, and a mask
will be required for cooks. The manufacturing facility will be sanitized on a
daily basis,

Place
Affordaballs will be found and offered in the Camiguin National High
School premises on weekdays.

Promotion
The proponents will employ techniques to promote Affordaballs. These include
raising consumer awareness, developing interest, desire, and persuading the
customer to make a purchase. Proponents will also initially promote the
product through personal (word-of-mouth) and social media platforms. This
will result in increased public awareness, which will contribute to the
company's sales.

Product: Nature and Sustainability

8
A product is anything that can be given to a market that may meet a
customer's want or need. The company will provide clients with a new type of
satisfaction in the form of a delicious and nutritious potato treat. The
proponents developed this concept out of a desire to provide new types of
enjoyment to consumers through the usage of potatoes, which is also a good
substitute for rice.
Cheese, on the other hand, is a popular dairy food that contains protein,
lipids, and minerals. Customers will be satisfied while also benefiting from
health benefits as a result of this.

Future Product Plan

The proponents intend to produce a high-quality potato cheese snack
that will satisfy consumers and offer health advantages at a price that will
allow a wide range of people to enjoy it.

Pricing Scheme
The proponents decided on to employ the Cost-Plus Pricing strategy, in
which the selling price is calculated by adding direct materials, manufacturing
overboard, and the expected net profits.

Future Pricing Plan

The company decided the Market Penetration Strategy, in which the
price is initially low and gradually rises to a high level. The proponents also
decided to offer discounts to customers who buy a large quantity of the goods.

Place or Distribution Channel

The business is located at Camiguin National High School. The
proponents will use Direct Marketing Channel or known as produce costumers
wherein the methods of selling are directly to the end buyer from the
manufacture with no middle man intermediary involved.

Future Place or Distribution Channel Plan

The proponents plan to distribute or sell their products around Camiguin
National High School premises. The products will be sold on personal, by the
proponents itself.

Promotional Technique
Promotion strategy is a plan to create or increase demand for a product. It
outlines the tactics you'll use to raise awareness about your product and get
people interested in buying it. The goal of a promotion strategy is to introduce
potential customers to your product and convince them to make a purchase.
9
The proponents will initially promote the product through personal and
social media platforms. As the company starts business in the market
industry, the best way to give customer’s awareness and to give way to wide
range of people to recognize the product is by the use of word of mouth and
social media platforms.

Personal Selling
Personal selling, commonly referred to as face-to-face selling, is a
technique where an individual salesperson or saleslady attempts to persuade a
consumer to purchase a product. It is a promotional strategy; thus, the seller
must be able to influence customers to purchase the goods and highlight the
advantages that customers stand to gain.

A. Product Promotions
The entrepreneurs held a free taste to get feedback from those who came
to try the product. As a new business, this type of activity is highly suggested
not only for gathering first feedback but also as a form of advertising.

SECTION VII: BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS

A. Staffing and Costing

The company is a partnership with eight shareholders who share profits

equally. Since it was simple to make, the proponents will directly perform the
labor and prepare the product. This will establish an excellent connection with
the proponents and will also make the work a lot quicker and easier.

B. Business Organization
The manager will be in charge of guiding everyone in the company. She
will direct the buyer to buy the ingredients required to make Affordaballs, after
which the cook will receive the ingredients and complete her part of the
production process. Once the product has been produced, everyone will sell it
together and promote it to others. The accountant will document each
transaction and perform his duties throughout the entire procedure. Everyone
will be included and given a role and duties. Overall, the company will be
organized effectively, and the cycle will run all the way to the end.
C. Equipment Requirement
The only equipment needed to make the Affordaballs is a pot and frying
pan. The proponents will use 'gas range' in accordance with the use of these
equipment. The proponents will shape the Affordaballs using their clean hands
along with gloves as well.

D. Space Requirement
There is no need for a large kitchen or a large space in the production of
the good because Affordaballs are simple to make, therefore space is not an
issue as long as the persons participating in the production can fit in.
The space is not a problem for selling the goods because the proponents
have opted to have a designated place in the school and can also wander
around the premises of the school.

E. Manufacturing Process
1. Put ¼ tablespoon of salt into a pot of water. Add potatoes, cover and cook
over medium heat until the potatoes are soft. Then drain water from the
potatoes.
2. Mash potatoes using a fork or a masher. Add pepper, salt, flour, and
cornstarch while potatoes are still hot. Mash and mix until all the ingredients
are well combined. 12
3. Scoop a spoonful of the mash potatoes and flatten it. Put cheese cube in the
center and roll it into a ball.
4. Dip potatoes in the bitten eggs, and then roll in bread crumbs.
5. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry potato cheese balls until golden brown in
color.
6. Drain in tissue paper to remove excess oil.
