Industry Focus with Strengths and Potential

SEZ TANJUNG KELAYANG

With an area of over 324-hectares and an approximately 5 kilometers coastline, BMED has been granted by the Government of Indonesia a Special
Economic Zone (SEZ) status to develop tourism on the subject site. The vast majority of the site area falls into the Tanjung Kelayang SEZ.

Tanjung Kelayang SEZ was established through Government Regulation (PP) No.6 of 2016, the 4th SEZ focused on tourism. This is considered an effort
to attract investment on tourism projects and ultimately to boost Belitung’s tourism industry. In general, incentives and facilities provided for business
entitiy in SEZ are related to income tax, customs, manpower, immigration, land, and licenses.

Tanjung Kelayang offers the most beautiful part of Belitung that has unblocked views to the main attractions of Belitung. Its proximity to the beautiful
islands of Lengkuas, Burung, and Kepayang island allow visitors to take boats for 12-20 minutes from this area. Its tranquil, pristine & beautiful nature
are its best asset. It is important for the Tanjung Kelayang area to be developed with low-key, nature sensitive and low carbon footprint
projects that prioritize nature protection and preservation.

The resort consists of 174 rooms, 8 villas, and resort facilities set amongst significant landscape zones, including large water bodies planned

through the island, also taking cues of materiality from local fishing villages.

Notably the simple long house with gable room form has been adopted for the acoomodation block rooms and villas, and the principles have
been re-conceived through simple stylizef modern interpretation for the resort facilities providing a contemporarty yet relaxed ethnically inspired
