VIRTUAL ORIENTATION

The integration of Senior High School (SHS) to the Basic Education Curriculum is a
recent development. An excellent orientation helps students and parents transition
from junior high to high school and guides them through the next part of their
scholastic journey.
The first part of the program was started at around 9:00A.M by playing the national
anthem followed by a prayer. After that, the program’s moderator acknowledged the
presence of the participants – parents, learners, and teachers of the Senior High School
Department in Canda National High School. Ma’am Marita Resurreccion stated her
welcome remarks and led the presentation of faculty.
Moreover, for the second part of the program, the class advisers presented their class
schedule to the learners and parents. Furthermore, to give more information about the
Grading System, Ma’am Melba S. Remojo, Academic Coordinator, presented the
guidelines for the assessment of the written and performance of the learners followed
by Ma’am Arlene Diamante, Research Coordinator, discussed the distribution and
retrieval of modules along with the safety protocols. And, finally, Sir Albert D.
Sarmiento, Guidance Coordinator talk about the right usage and the importance of
group chat as a source of communication platform in this pandemic time.
Following the three speakers' presentations, the moderator facilitated the queries
of the learners and answer their concerns with the help of the SHS faculty. Some of their
queries are about the face to face class, retrieval and distribution of the learning
materials.
Finally, the program was end in the Closing Remarks headed by Ma’am Ma. Judith
C. Valencia, G12 Determination Adviser.
