NARRATIVE REPORT ON

W.A.T.C.H. Program

A. Webinar to students, teachers, parents and other stakeholders on WATCH Ideals

A.1 During the Orientation to Teachers and Other Stakeholders

Last January 2021 W.A.T.C.H. program was officially launched in Cagasat National High School,
Gayong, Cordon, Isabela and an orientation was conducted. Mrs. Rosefedita R. Pastores, the
coordinator, spearheaded the webinar to Teachers and other stakeholders about the nature and scope
of Project W.A.T.C.H. She have oriented the teachers and stakeholders of what the project is all about
and how does it work. She has given emphasis about the program and has vowed to exert efforts
inorder to promote the goal of the said project.

A.2 During the Orientation to Parents and Students

            On September 13, 2021 another orientation was conducted, this time to all the learners and their
parents. Our Project W.A.T.C.H coordinator was one of the speakers on the said orientation. After the
orientation, our principal recognized the teachers who went to school so early from June to present.

            Meanwhile, our OIC-Head Teacher Mrs. Remigio also reiterated to the students the virtue of
practicing time consciousness. She said that one way to practice punctuality is by submitting the school
requirements on/before the due date for submission. Furthermore, she also emphasized the
internalization of honesty and by showing it in a simple way just like in answering the problems
embedded in the given SLM/s or LAS.

The orientation was conducted per grade level and was run smoothly and successfully through
the exhausted efforts of the administration, teachers, stakeholders and others.

B. Webinar on Mental Health Awareness

A virtual orientation on the Psychological First Aid and Homeroom Guidance Orientation was
scheduled on September 24, 2021 at 8 AM. The students were instructed by their adviser to fill up the
form before the virtual orientation. Afterwards, the google meet link was given to them and they were
instructed to enter 15 minutes before the said virtual orientation.

The program started with an invocation given by Sir Reonel C. Cabanilla, TIII followed by the
singing of the National Anthem, Sir Romulus Y. Guzman Jr. conducting. Mrs. Imelda R. Remigio, MT - I
delivered her opening remarks encouraging parents and students to have a positive mindset toward the
new normal. She also gave some idea about the topics that be discuss during the orientation. Ma’am
Sally J. Florentin, PhD came next and she delivered her message. She emphasized the importance of this
virtual orientation and the roles of parents and students to meet the challenges of the new normal in
education. She further elaborated about courage and strength at times of pandemic.

The virtual orientation started on the expected time to practice punctuality being an advocate of
Project W.A.T.C.H. This is the second time that this program was given virtually.

C. TRAINING AND ORIENTATION

Last September 29, 2021, teachers of the different levels oriented the learners on the
procedures of the distribution and retrieval of SLMs/LAS every month or every quarter via google meet.
Parents were told to wait for updates as to when would be the distribution of the SLMs or LAS as well as
when would be the submission of the requirements and retrieval. The orientation was done per
curriculum level and students were instructed per cluster. The orientation started minutes away before
the start which is 9:00 am. Cluster Focal persons also have instructed parents a way ahead before the
formal orientation about the proper procedure on how to go through this School Year having 3
modalities of learning.
To sum up, the orientation regarding the distribution of SLMs or LAS was held successfully,
having all the parties concern agreed on the terms and conditions about the learners education amid
pandemic.
