DSE74xx MKI to DSE74xx MKII

Conversion
1 DESCRIPTION

NOTE: This document is intended as a wiring conversion guide and assumes that the individual
following it understands that the DSE74xx MKII may require configuring to suit the requirements of the
application. For further information on module configuration refer to DSE Publications: 057-262 DSE7410 MKII
& DSE7420 MKII Configuration Suite PC Software Manual and 057-160 DSE7400 Configuration Suite Software
Manual.

This document describes how to convert the existing wiring connections for a DSE74xx MKI module to suit the
DSE74xx MKII module. The panel cutout is the same size, the only changes required are to the controller wiring and
module configuration.

Always refer to the source of the module configuration and system wiring diagram to confirm the below listed
connections are suitable for the application.

2 WIRING CHANGES
Terminal number assignment differs considerably between the DSE74xx MKI and DSE74xx MKII modules. Despite
this the physical location and pin-out of the majority of terminals is similar, with some differences in inputs between the
modules. This is described in further detail in section three. The below images give an overview of connector layout
and pin assignment:

3 TERMINAL NUMBER ASSIGNMENT
The following tables detail the differences in terminal number assignment between the DSE74xx MKI and DSE74xx
MKII modules. Each table corresponds to a specific connector on the module. The connectors have been labelled A to
H. This is not a DSE standard for connector labelling, and has simply been included for ease of reference
