10 events using graphic organizer. Before we begin our discussion let us determine

11 the ff.: what is a Problem, a Solution, and Problem and Solution

13 Radio Teacher : What is a problem ? A problem is difficulty that has to be


14 resolved or dealt with. Example: Jasper is hungry so, he ate two cups of rice.

17 with a difficult situation . Example: Cassey spilled her milk, therefore, she
18 mopped it up.

21 information in a passage is expressed as concerning issue and and should be
22 done to remedy this issue.

28 1. Rain forests are disappearing at an alarming pace. Urgent action is needed if

29 they are to survive. There are many ways of protecting the rain forests. Many

30 countries have set up national parks to protect the the plants and animals.

31 People have organized campaigns to stop the logging and farming in the rain

32 forest. Children are being educated about the importance of rain forests and

33 their resources so that they may make informed decisions as adults. See LAS 1

34 for the attachments.

56 Radio Teacher : Directions : Read the given text entitled “BATHALA: The Story
57 of Creation “and identify the problem and its solutions.
58 In the beginning of time there were three powerful gods who lived in the
59 universe. Bathala was the caretaker of the earth, Ulilang Kaluluwa (lit. Orphaned
60 Spirit), a huge serpent who lived in the clouds, and Galang Kaluluwa (lit.
61 Wandering spirit), the winged god who loves to travel. These three gods did not
62 know each other. Bathala often dreamt of creating mortals but the empty earth
63 stops him from doing so. Ulilang Kaluluwa who was equally lonely as Bathala,
64 liked to visit places and the earth was his favorite. One day the two gods met.
65 Ulilang Kaluluwa, seeing another god rivaling him, was not pleased. He
66 challenged Bathala to a fight to decide who would be the ruler of the universe.
67 After three days and three 63 nights,Ulilang Kaluluwa was slain by Bathala.
