WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

1.
A. The cerebrum is the center of intelligence. It is the largest of the
three brain sections, accounts for about 85% of the brain’s weight, and has four lobes. The frontal, parietal, temporal
and occipital lobes –each have different functions.
B. Cerebellum controls voluntary movement. When you want to lift your fork, wave your hand, brush your hair or wink
at a cutie, you form the thought and then an area in the cerebellum translates your will into action
C. The brain stem connects the spinal cord and the brain. It controls functions that keep people alive such as
breathing, heart rate, blood pressure and food digestion. Those activities occur without any thought. It functions
without being told.
2. A mind map involves writing down a central theme and thinking of new and related ideas which radiate out from
the center. By focusing on key ideas written down in your own words and looking for connections between them,
you can map knowledge in a way that will help you to better understand and retain information.
3. The most interesting part of the topic is the brain. All I know is that the parts of the brain has different functions
but i did not know that there is left and right brain dominant.

Activity 2. 4
