Introduced Fauna
Lesson Plan

Mitchell Bray
Facilitator
Participants Long Walk Group 3 Members
As you may know name is Mitch. But for those of you that don’t
know, I am Mitchell, I grew up on the land of the Ngunnawal people
in Canberra and moved to Dja Dja Wurrung country as of last year to
peruse my passion for the outdoors. I have a pretty good naturalist eye
but I am not walking costermans. Seeing as we have all completed
Naturalist studies within our first year, we will be reengaging with our
ability to identify fauna evidence, but through only interpretive
movement.
(Demonstrated Practice)
To demonstrate the activity, I will attempt to share with you what I
think left these foot prints behind. By only acting out movements.
(Independent Practice)
So, as we as a team come across evidence of fauna, and you think you
know what it is. Have a go at acting the animal out and allowing for
the team to guess what it is. If we just can’t guess the acting out then
we can always refer back to the Scats and Tracks book.

alpine ecosystems. Sharing ideas as a group
to why this introduced species was
introduced in the first place, and what is
being done to manage this species.
