1. What were your impressions or thoughts before the start of the learning activity/ experience?

Were they mostly positive or negative?

The first thoughts were mostly positive, I was confident enough to face the Clinical Instructor which
is Ms. Ria. To be honest I was in a panic (a little) due to the fact that I am facing a new clinical
instructor, Ms. Ria. I was a little nervous that time and I was shocked to see that I am the first to
perform the return demo. It was a great experience.
2. Discuss the challenges encountered during the activity. What did you learn from those challenges?
- The challenges that I encountered were freezing of laptop, which made my performance of return demo
delayed, the gloves were also not arranged very well due to the stickiness of the inside gloves. I was having
a hard time that time but I was able to finish completely the procedure on how to do the proper technique
of open gloving. Also, the questions and answers, some of them I can’t answer but thanks to Ms. Ria I have
gathered the knowledge and the thing that I must know during the sterile procedures after, during, and
before.

3. What have you learned most in the learning activity?

- I have learned a lot in the learning activity thanks to Ms. Ria, I have gained knowledge and the things to take
note while doing the sterile procedures. Although I made some mistakes while performing the return demo,
but I was corrected and taught by Ms. Ria and I am grateful for that.

4. What are the professional and personal skills you have learned from the activity? How did you
change as a result of this experience?
- The personal skills I gained during this activity was enhancing my communication skills. The
professional skills I have gained from the said activity was able to learn and take note of the things
needed to do while you’re in the operating room.

5. How can you apply/make use of what you have learned from the activity in the future (as a
future nurse)?
- I can make use of this in the future as a registered nurse by applying the knowledge that I was
taught, and implementing them as a registered nurse. This learning activity may help me in
carrying the procedures well while practicing now as a nursing student. They say practice
makes perfect and for that as a nursing student this learning activity helps my skills grow and
this will be a huge help in the future as I graduate college.
