SEQUENCE OF WORK
A Civil Works
Excavating inside the excavation boundary using manual excavation till Foundation Level (FL) as recommended in
2
the Geotechnical Report
Excavated soil shall be stored and covered with plastic covers in the designated location inside the warehouse to
3
be used after ward as backfilling soil
If required, Sides of excavation boundary to be retained using vertical wooden veins with cross section 7cm x
4 7cm, hammered in the ground adjacent to each other with spacing not more than 10cm for depth equals to 1.5
the excavation height
Submerged water pump shall be immersed in the excavated area; to withdraw the under ground water from
5 inside the excavated area and pumping it to the river Nile branch located beside the scrap area, through line of
3" PVC pipes installed directly over the Asphalt of the back yard.
Piles drilling machine shall enter to the working site through the access road, and shall dig the required piles
6 respectively with required diameter and length as per the design drawings - through rotary boring inside the
excavated area. Inner piles to be digged first.
Meanwhile, the steel fixers shall be working - in the scrap area which shall be used as workshop for preparing
steel reinforcement - in the preparation and welding of the steel reinforcement cages that shall be used as
7
reinforcement for the piles. Taking into consideration that the concrete cover around the steel reinforcement
cage must not be less than 7cm
After drilling each pile hole, 3" PVC pipe shall be inserted in the hole and connected to the submerged water
8
pump to withdraw the ground water from the hole and pump it in the river Nile branch as described above
9 The pilling machine built-in crane shall raise the first steel reinforcement cage and drop it in the first pile hole.
Kept hanged by the pilling machine crane, the verticality of the steel cage shall be adjusted, and the boom pilling
10
machine shall be inserted deeply from inside the steel cage to the bottom of the pile hole
The concrete mixer shall enter to the site and connect to the pilling machine boom. Casting of concrete inside
11 the pile hole starts, taking into consideration that the free fall of concrete inside the pile hole shall not exceed
1.50m
During casting concrete inside the hole, the boom shall be raised up gradually till reaching to top level of the pile
12
hole
13 Steps From 9 Till 12 shall be repeated for all the piles' holes
14 Upon finish, the pilling machine shall exit from the site through the egress road
Formworks and steel fixing works for pile cap - according to dimensions and details shown in the design drawings
17
- shall be carried out through carpenters and steel fixers respectively
Installing of anchor bolts inside the pile cap shall be carried out, verticality shall be adjusted and tip of anchor
18 bolts shall be levelled. The upper 30cm of each anchor bolt shall be covered with plastic sheet and wrapped
tightly for protection during pouring concrete
Casting of pile cap shall be done through concrete mixers; that shall pour concrete directly inside the formwork
19
of the pile cap using their back gutters
20 Curing of casted concrete with water shall be carried out for three continuous days
Two layers of emulsion cold insulation - using approved material - shall be carried out for the upper surface and
21
sides of the pile cap
22 Backfill around the pile cap using previously excavated soil shall be done manually by labours
A 30 ton mobile crane shall enter to the working site through the access road, and shall stand at the back yard
1 area between the hospital building and scrap area (Station No. 1), directly before the arrival of the trailers
carrying the Tower Crane masts
Tower Crane masts shall be imported to the site loaded over 8 trailers, that shall enter successively to the
2
working site through the access road
Tower Crane masts to be off-loaded from the trailers successively using the 30 ton mobile crane; each trailer
3 shall enter to the working site, off-loaded and exit from the site through the egress road, and so on for the 8
trailers
Tower Crane masts shall be directly arranged and stored using the 30 ton mobile crane in the scrap area waiting
4
for the fixation of the anchor bolts in the reinforced concrete footing to be done
Once the fixation of the anchor bolts in the reinforced concrete footing had been finished; a 50 ton mobile crane
5 shall enter to the site through the access road, and shall stand in the empty area between the hospital building
and the scrap area (Station No. 1)
The 50 ton mobile crane shall be used to install the masts piece by piece over the reinforced concrete footing,
6 until reaching the height of 46m approximately, to be in the same level of a concrete beam in the hospital
building; which is - approximately - expected to be in the level of the ninth floor slab
The supporting collar shall be installed connecting the Tower Crane to the concrete beam through using HILTI
7
anchor bolts - previously approved by the Engineer
8 The 50 ton mobile crane shall continue installing the masts of the Tower Crane till the final level
The 50 ton mobile crane shall be used to assembly the Jip and the Trolley on the ground, in the empty space
9
located between the scrap area and the hospital building
After finishing the assembly of the Jip and the Trolley on the ground, the 50 ton mobile crane shall exit from the
10
site through the egress road
A 150 ton mobile crane shall enter to the site through the access road, and shall stand at the empty scrap area
11
(Station No. 2)
The 50 ton mobile crane shall - carefully and under high supervision - raise the assembled Jib and Trolley from
12
over the ground to install over the tip of the Tower Crane riser
13 The Ballast Block shall then be raised by the 50 ton mobile crane and installed at the back of the Jib
14 The 150 ton mobile crane shall then exit from the working site using the egress road
