What are
In English,
correlative
conjunctions? Co >> means together or with
Relative >> means that the things or activities are
related,kind of the some, there are two words that are basically
the same,and they are work together.
Functions :
Menghubungkan
Nouns with nouns
ex : Both tomato and chili grow well in my garden)
Adjectives with adjectives
ex : My mother is not only preety but also kind)
Prepositional with prepositional
ex : We will have vacation either in Jakarta or in Bandung)
Independent clause with independent clause
ex : I not only sweep the floor,but also wash the dishes)

Either … or Neither … or
Both … and Not only … but also

Jika dalam sebuah kalimat sdh ada kata NEITHER…NOR,maka kata NOT tidak
dibutuhkan lagi.
Not only … but also (surprise) tidak hanya … tapi juga
Characteristics :
Use to emphasis of two coordinated element in a sentence
(the two things that are parallel or similar)
1st case is surprise,and the 2nd caseis even more of a surprise
Subjek yang terdekat dengan verb yang menentukan bentuk singular/plural
If it’s singular use the singular verb,
If it’s plural use the plural verb.
Form :
S + V + not only … + but also …
(sebagai object)
(…) bisa berupa nouns,adjectives,prepositional,atau independent clause
Not only …+but also…+V
(sebagai subject)
(diperlukan penambahan aux.verb/helping verb sesuai dgn Subject atau tenses)
S + not only…+but also…
(menghubungkan IC yg letaknya setelah subject)
Example:
1. X : Mary is beautiful
Y : Mary is clever
Mary is not only beautiful but also clever
Form :
S + v + both…and…
S + both V + and V
(menghubungkan 2 IC)
Both + S + and + S + V
Example:
1. X : I like coffee
Y : I like tea
I like both coffe and tea
