encourage learners to describe possible for those animals to live in a

 After they’re done reading- Draw a Venn diagram (compare and
contrast both animals)

diagram.

 Ask learners to choose one of the animals and answer the
questions using the information in Activity 4
 Model to learners how to turn notes back into full sentences. Eg:
re-insert name of animal or a pronoun. Include capital letter and
full stop. Point out the use of commas when making a list.

 Ask what sort of plants do they find in a desert.


 Give some examples and encourage them to answer if its possible for
those plants live in the desert and why. Eg: roses, trees, fruit trees

 Ask – If they have ever seen cactus and where. What do they look
like
 Focus on picture and read the labels . Ask them to describe the
cactus.
 Read the questions and ask them to predict the answers.
 Listen to the audio and follow the book
 Discuss – because, When we ask question with “why”

 Focus on question and the adjectives
 Do the activity orally. Explain the spelling rules : Doubling of
consonant (biggest) changing y to i (driest)
3. Read and talk
 Ask – look at the picture and describe it.
 Look at the title of the poem. Ask them what they think the
relationship between the title and the picture.
 Read and listen to the poem
 Critical thinking: Discuss the meaning of the poem. The intention
and feeling of the poet. Discuss why the poet describes desert as
the place of danger. ASK: what might the danger be: in animals?
To humans? Ask them to find reasons for their answers in the text.

them establish not only what a story is about but also what new
words mean.
