want your career and life to look like 5 years in the future. Or you may wish to describe how you will progress through your
semester. You may sketch out what values drive your journey.

Academic Pathways
College is a great jumping off point for continued post-secondary education (college or university). You have a lot of
pathways, bridging programs, credit transfers, application options available to you. Can you research some of these options
and map out a Plan A pathway and a Plan B? Identify some pathways for your academic success and include some research
about applications deadlines, tuition, acceptance requirements etc. Both are clear,
realistic and include

etc.
Plan A is to apply to the paramedic program at Durham College, starting in the 2022-23 school year. It is a 4-semester program
spanning the course of 2 years. Tuition and other costs come to about $19000 when all is said and done. Applications open
towards the end of 2021 and will remain open until the program fills up, which happens very quickly in the highly competitive
paramedic program. In terms of acceptance requirements, I will need to receive my Pre-Health Sciences certificate and have a
grade of around 85-90% in order to compete with the other applicants. If I am unable to gain acceptance to Durham, I will

apply to other schools as well to increase my chances of acceptance into a program.

What is Plan B?
Plan B is if I do not get accepted into a paramedic program at any school. In this case, I will consider a career in church ministry, where I
will reach out to different groups of people in various age groups and serve them in any capacity that I am able. For example, I can
consider a career at a camp or resort, where I will work under the supervision of like-minded individuals, whose goal it is to serve guests
to the best of their ability, ensuring that guests experience the most welcoming and comfortable stay possible. In terms of where
specifically I would serve, perhaps Muskoka Bible Centre, on Mary Lake, south of Huntsville, Muskoka. I would plan on joining the
maintenance crew, with whom I would conduct fixes, maintain walkways, collect garbage and drive vehicles. I worked there during this
past spring and summer, and I would enjoy being there for a long term employment.
