VISION & MISSION

Rubric Elements
A vision is a larger view of your journey. It is what you want your world to look like. You could possibly describe what you
want your career and life to look like 5 years in the future. Or you may wish to describe how you will progress through your
semester. You may sketch out what values drive your journey.

My vision for the future is… to transfer to UOIT for Forensic Psychology. I will have learned proper learning habits and study
strategies. I will have better time management and will not procrastinate on my assignments.

GOALS & PRIORITIES

deadlines and obligations. (Please write in full, grammatically correct sentences and be specific—use the SMART goal-setting clearly applied with

framework discussed in class.) and elaborated
discussion.

1. My first goal is to manage my time wisely by limiting my time on social media and playing video games. I spend a lot of
time on social media and video games and not even time doing assignments or studying. I need to manage my time more
wisely and control my technology usage. To do this I can set a timer where after a certain amount of time passes, my PS4 shuts
off. This timer can be used for social media, I can put set 30 mins and after that I have to go back to doing work.

2. My second goal is to sleep earlier. I stay up late even on nights where I have classes early. I can set a bedtime alarm on my
phone with reminds me to start getting ready to go to bed. When I’m in bed, I end up using my phone for a long time which
leads to me sleeping late. I can set my alarm and put my phone out of arms reach when I’m in bed.

3. My third goal is to work on my assignments earlier and not procrastinate. When I get an assignment, I don’t work on it until
days later and sometimes leave it until the last minute. My aim is to work on an assignment the day I get it even if I don’t
finish it, just starting it and having an idea of what is expected will make it easier to finish it on time.

MOTIVATION & REWARDS

How will you keep yourself motivated? List 3 rewards that you will give yourself after successful completion of those goals. Discussed in-depth.
Make sure you write about why these will help you stay motivated. (Please write in full, grammatically correct sentences.) Meaningful and

because I know if I finish that last assignment, I have the rest of the time to play videos games and enjoy myself. If I wake up
early for one of my classes, I then have the rest of the day to be able to play.

2. The second reward is that if I’m able to complete my goals, I can buy something that I want. This motivates me because
there are things that I look at online and wonder if I need to buy it. After working hard or finishing all my assignments before
the due date, I can then look at my wish list and think to myself that I do deserve it. This reward system will encourage me to
complete my assignments, study and do well on a test. If I do that, then I can buy something.

3. The third reward is the grades I get. After waking up early, studying and working hard, the reward I receive is the grades I
get. This will motivate me because if I work hard and put time into school, I can receive grades that reflect that. I always enjoy
the pay off after working hard and completing my goals. If I see good results, I will work harder to maintain those results.

1. One potential roadblock is a lack of motivation. There are times when I won’t have the motivation to do an assignment or to
wake up for class. However, a way to overcome this will be to set rewards for myself and write down clear goals that will help
me stay motivated. Whenever I feel unmotivated, I’ll look at my list of goals I created that will keep me focused. Roadblocks are

self-reflection.

2. Another obstacle would be technology problems. Online class requires stable internet connection and a computer. If I have How to mitigate or
difficulties with either one, it will be hard for me to do my assignments and meet my deadlines. In the past, I have had overcome roadblocks
