Education Philosophy Statement

Nelson Mandela said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to
change the world". I have always believed that education is the key to changing the world.
I want to empower my students to be independent thinkers so that they can make changes
for themselves. I believe that the purpose of education is to give young people the tools to
explore the world around them. Social Studies gives me a unique opportunity to be able to
give my students those tools.
