Choose one statement and reflect on it. What do you think and feel about it.
STATEMENT 3: STUDENTS ARE TOO YOUNG TO SOLVE LIFE’S PROBLEMS, WHY
SHOULD THEY DO PROBLEM SOLVING IN SCHOOL?
Giving students tasks that requires them to solve real life problems are great tools for
their self-growth and development. To normalize such thing is good for them. Letting
students think beyond the boxes or out of the four corners of the room and beyond
memorization of facts taught them to reach their potentials since the holistic
development of those students are given more emphasis. And so, I disagree with the
statement 3 considering the fact that the problem-based approach or design is a one of
the most effective and efficient approach the teaching-learning process could ever have.
