This documented is intended to Ferrite testing of welds of pressure piping, boiler or power piping and
made of carbon steels and stainless steels by, Ferrite testing method using FT Machine, 1.5m lemo
(electronic) cable, Required probes – Portable. This work method statement shall comply MESA field
SHES manual C86AS0002.

2. LOADING OF FERRITE TESTING EQUIPMENT:

2.1. During Loading the equipment and accessories Leather hand glove shall be worn.

2.2. Ensure all equipment is stack away from the edge of the lorry bed and secure properly
to prevent falling.

2.3. Ensure provide training on safe handling & manual lift of material to the workforce.

2.4. Leather hand glove shall be worn when perform the entire work.

3. SITE SURVEY TO DO FERRITE TESTING :

3.1. Ensure the proper planning.

3.2. Ensure the isometric drawing with site layout plan is in place.

4. MOBILIZATION OF FERRITE TESTING EQUIPMENT.

4.1. Valid PCM, OPSOC, CSOC, WAH are required in Client.

4.2. All personnel shall complete Client SIC training prior to enter the site.

4.3. All personnel shall attend the In-house SIC prior working at Client site premise.

4.4. All worker to have SIC sticker pasted on their hat &carry the training Passport.

4.5. Ensure only authorized and trained person involved in the live plant work are allowed to
enter in the area.

4.6. Work Permit shall be applied by Permit requestor and approved prior to commencement
of work.

4.7. Pre-Job Safety Briefing shall be conducted by site supervisor in accordance to the
MSRA, Daily work plan and Journey Plan.

4.8. Safety glasses, hard hat, with chin strap, long sleeve jacket pants, Leather hand glove
and, safety boots, Safety Goggle, Ear Plug as per Client PPE policy.

4.9. Driver shall follow the road safety regulation reter MESA SHE manual on the road in the
plant area.

4.10. Site Supervisor shall ensure that all the relevant certificates and documents are
available for the vehicles prior mobilization (Road Tax, Insurance, Maintenance
Checklist, Driver Particulars,)

4.11. Ensure pickup / van operator shall obtain valid license during the entire work.

4.12. Valid Fire Extinguisher with stands. (9kg, ABC type) for vehicle in place.

4.13. No vehicle is allowed for parking except for short delivery during working hour.

4.14. Workers shall bring along their individual refill water bottle.

5. UNLOADING OF FERRITE TESTING EQUIPMENT TRANSFER TO THE SITE LOCATION:

5.1. During Loading / unloading the equipment and accessories Leather glove shall be worn.

5.2. Ensure all equipment is stack away from the edge of the pickup bed and secure properly
to prevent falling.

5.3. Leather hand glove shall be worn when perform the entire work.

6. FERRITE TESTING INSPECTION AT WORKING ON THE GROUND LEVEL:

6.1. Check gas monitor for 0% LEL before switching on site.

6.2. Wear proper PPE ( gloves, goggles, overall,)

6.3. Ensure that competent person to carry out the job.

6.4. Properly secured the cables tools bag to contain the probe.

6.5. Equipment and cables keep properly.

6.6. Calibrate the equipment.

6.7. Don’t change battery on Site

6.8. Don’t charge battery on site

6.9. Inspect.

7. FERRITE TESTING INSPECTION AT WORKING (WORKING AT HEIGHT):

7.1. All workers to attend SRL application training prior to work at height.

7.2. The workers must complete the WAH course before entering to the work site.

7.3. Hook up SRL at/ above waist level.

7.4. 100% tie-off at strong anchorage point.

7.5. Harness & SRL to be inspected with tag and check prior to use.

7.6. Ensure proper donning of harness and SRL by workers (Buddy system checks prior to
use).

7.7. Check the Scaffolding ground it or not.

7.8. Red tag not use scaffolding

7.9. Green tag hardness not required, Red tag no access for work.

7.10. Yellow tag 100%tie off at strong anchorage point.

7.11. When pass the FT equipment Higher Level to low Level stay away from Line of fire .

9. HOUSEKEEPING:

9.1. Housekeeping is a must "Before, During & End" of work day.

9.2. Materials must never be left on the ground but stacked neatly on stillage and hard
barricaded.

9.3. Work area must be swept clean of all times.
