SPACE EXPLORATION

Discovering the university is perceived as one of the most crucial topics in determining
the worldwide development. There is a reality that while some people state that space
exploration is a waste of resources, others advocate the viewpoint that it is necessary
for humans to continue to investigate the cosmos in which we live. In this essay, both
sides of this argument will be comprehensively discussed.

On the one hand, some people claim that space exploration is a waste since the results
space discovery produces are not worth the efforts expended. According to the latest
data from space-market specialists, governments, especially developed countries,
spend hundreds of billions of dollars yearly on constructing and maintaining space
stations, training astronauts, and recruiting scientists. A prominent illustration of this is
that, in 2019, The United States spent more than $200 billion on the space shuttle and
another $50 billion on the International Space Station. Meanwhile, space exploration
projects may span several decades with no apparent outcomes. For example, NASA
has been investigating other planets for years to find out if there are other habitable
planets but has yet to reach a firm conclusion. In addition, people who are against
space exploration also believe that the resources and efforts focused on space
exploration could better humanity. They state that people need to focus their resources
and efforts on one problem at a time according to priority. Education, for example,
should be our first priority to improve our condition, and exploring space can wait
until we are healthy on the ground.

On the other hand, another clear view against this opinion points out that people
should continue to study outer space since many discoveries have been made as a
result of space exploration. In other words, numerous discoveries and products have
been developed from the knowledge gained from space research. For instance, NASA
created Velcro, which is today utilized in numerous clothing items, bags, and so on.
Non-stick pans and surfaces were also invented as a result of space exploration. Now
we can cook without worrying whether or not our cakes will stick to the sides of our
pans. Overall, space exploration has provided us with new knowledge, and as a result
of this, many new and intriguing inventions have been created.
