Abstract

The need for moisturization is a 21 st century beauty trend,

moisturizers tend to attract water molecules that are trapped in

the skin that prevents it from being too oily or to dry. The

common ingredient for moisturization is cow’s milk due to its

common specific moisture. The study aimed to use conveniently

available product that allows the product to be easily

synthesized and available if needed, due to this notion, the

researchers used carabao’s milk. Carabao’s milk is easily

accessible and provides the same moisturization properties as

cow’s milk. The product is synthesized by using a soap base then

adding the pasteurized carabao’s milk to create a mixture,

essential oil is then added in order to make the product

attractive to the common consumer. The efficiency of the product

is already apparent during the initial testing, possessing

moisturizing qualities that are apparent after application. The

findings are determined by the skin’s softness, lightness,

freshness and overall sensation of the respondent. The total

respondents of this particular study were five (5) which all

reported similar findings. The data gathered indicates a success

in terms of moisturization and due to this, the product is

recommended to be use as an alternative to a commercial product,

if needed.
