ACTIVITY 1: COMPARE AND CONTRAST THE PLANETS
1. What are the similarities and differences of the 3 planets?

Presence of O2 and H2O

2. What is the consequence if greenhouse gases are not present

especially in the earth’s atmosphere?

With the absence of greenhouse gases, the planet or Earth’s

temperature will drop to a negative temperature.

3. What is the relationship between the planet’s temperature and its

distance from the sun? How can this be possibly affecting the
chemicals in it such as water?

The planets temperature is directly influenced by the distance from

the sun that farther the colder it gets, if the temperature to too
cold it will freeze the water content of the planet and if it’s too
hot the water will evaporate.

4. From the given data in table 1, which do you think is the most
important prerequisite for life? Explain your answer.

For my opinion water is the most crucial component to support life

since the basic unit life cells needs water to transfer chemical
within and outside the cells.

ACTIVITY 2: CRASH LANDNG

1. Which is the best planet or moon for you to land your ship in the
Chandra System? Explain your answer. 2. Why did you not choose the
other planets? 3. Do you think the planet you have chosen has
similar characteristics with that of Earth which could support
life? Explain your answer.

Planet 4 is the most suitable planet for the me to land since its
atmosphere is composed of oxygen and ozone which will help blocks
the radiation from the star.

2. Why did you not choose the other planets?

Planet 1 and 5 is too hot, planet 2 and 3 lacks ozone and oxygen,
planet 6 and its moons appreciable atmosphere and planet 7 and its
moons is too cold.

1. Do you think the planet you have chosen has similar characteristics
with that of Earth which could support life? Explain your answer.

Planet 4 has some characteristics similar to Earth such as presence

of water, oxygen and ozone, roughly the same mass, active volcanoes
and seismic activity.

Reflection
My Pledge in Nurturing and Protecting Mother Earth
I, Mark Joedel Mendez, pledge to Protect Mother Earth.

With this,
I will follow all the environmental rules to help make our earth a
better home to live in.
I will help to preserve and take care of my environment.
I will be a respectable role model, to my community and to the future
generation.
I, as much as possible, will not make any maltreatment to our Home
Planet.
I will help to endorse the hygiene of my surroundings.
I will exercise to reduce, reuse, and recycle my trash and leftover as
much as possible.
I will not risk the sustainability of my surroundings.
I will compete against the groups who promotes environmental
degradation.
I will defend our Mother Earth, just like how I defend my family because
I know that we will never have another one.
