Handymanan sa Tubungan is a business/shop built to provide different hand-crafted souvenirs

and tokens to tourists/visitors who visit the tourist spots in Tubungan specifically in Brgy. Igtuble.
The shop has different products such as personalized bracelets, bags made of woven coconut ropes
and as well as home decorations made with quality coconut products. The personalized bracelets and
souvenirs are very handy and are very budget-friendly.

Aside from being a provider of quality, budget friendly, hand-crafted souvenirs and
decorations, the shop also offers various freebies that will make customers’ visit, worthwhile. The
shop has welcoming and pleasing employees that will make the customers feel welcomed and
comfortable while choosing their best products that they’ll bring as they go back home, treasuring
the memories through the souvenirs that they have bought in our shop.

History of the Business

Handymanan sa Tubungan derived from the word “Handumanan” which means

“remembrance” in English. Since our product are handicrafts, which means it is handmade we came
up with the idea of naming our shop as Handymanan sa Tubungan referring to the souvenirs that the
visitors/tourists will bring as they go home.

Background of the Business

Handymanan sa Tubungan was established in 2021 by Antoniette Tabingo and Ellyn Marie
Talipan, both students from Iloilo Science and Technology University and are residents of Tubungan.
Brgy. Igtuble is known to be a place where it can be associated as the little Baguio of Tubungan
because of the mountainous location not to mention it has a cold weather even when it’s summer.
And over the years since the tourist spot has opened, lots of people from the city and even the
residents from different barangays in the municipality were also delighted to come and feel the
breeze and as well as witness the breathtaking view. With this, Antoniette and Ellyn had come up
with an idea to build a souvenir shop that could provide tourists and visitors souvenirs that are made
of the town’s main product which is the coconut. With this, tourists will not just bring pictures as
memories but as well as hand-crafted products that are made with love and hands of skilled
Tubunganons.
