 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Hooks, Knots and Love is about a business that involves the art of crochet. Crochet is a process of
creating fabric or products from yarn, thread, or other material strands using a crochet hook. Crocheting, like
knitting, consists of pulling loops through other loops, but additionally incorporates wrapping the working
material around the hook one or more times. 

Hooks, Knots and Love crochet business is concentrating on certain types of crochet products which
include baby hat, cell phone bag, bucket hats, halter top and also beach wear. The best part of this business is,
all the products are 100% handmade and customized to customers’ taste and choice. The color of each
product may be the same, but they are all different to one another. The exclusivity of these products will
definitely earn customers’ satisfactions. We provide both custom made order items and ready stock items.

For the very beginning of this business, the funding is from our own wallet, which is used to buy the
yarns, hooks, craft supplies and other marketing purpose. As we are now only concentrating on online
business, which we are all working at home, we already minimize our operating expenses in term of shop rent
or other utilities. Our future plan on this business is to open a studio of crochet products and will be able to
serve worldwide and also sharing the experience of the art of crochet and make step up to higher level.
 HISTORY OF THE BUSINESS
Crochet is a versatile craft with many different techniques to try. Your imagination is truly
the limit with the wide range of designs. Hooks, Knots and love is derive from the materials we
invested in doing a crochet product. Hooks is for the crochet hook. Knots is a representation of
different types of yarns we use in our product. Love is the material we use in our product that you
cannot touch but you can see on the designs we make for our customers. Also, love is the material
we invest in our products with our hearts and love for crochet itself as well as our love of crochet
products. We have come up with this title because crochet is not just a stress reliever to us but also
a business wherein we exert our efforts and a hobby that we love to do. This title is perfect for our
business as we want to serve our customers with warmth that crochet has given to our lives.
 BACKGROUND OF THE BUSINESS
Hooks, Knots and Love started in 2021 by Ney C. Lobo and April Rose B. Bangero.
Ney and April are currently a student of Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT
U). When the pandemic started, Ney and April observe that people love to buy and order
customized things especially crochets products. So they came up with an idea to make
customized crochet products which was really affordable for people to buy and can be
also a perfect gift if they want to save money. Studies have shown that crocheting and
knitting can reduce your levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, and increase the levels of
dopamine and serotonin, the happiness hormones. By reducing stress, your body will
relax, your heart rate will decrease, and you'll feel better.

items. At the moment, Hooks, Knots and Love crochet business is only
focusing to online business specifically, working at home. But in the
near future, the shop will be opening some branches of crochet studios
on both national and international to serve worldwide and also share
the experience of the art of crochet and make step up to
higher level.
