Repeat till the entire length of the membrane is bonded firmly onto
the surface then the second membrane is laid in the same way with
an overlap of 150mm at the end and 100mm at the side.
An extra length of minimum 300mm of the horizontal membrane
shall be left to carry up the vertical surface to maintain continuity
of the membrane and be protected as above.
Before applying the waterproofing membrane, concrete surfaces
shall be primed with primer recommended by the manufacturer of
the membrane but the again it should be inspected by the Engineer
24 hours after the placement.
The extra portion of 300 mm of the horizontal membrane left shall
be turned up and wrapped on to the vertical primed surfaces. The
continuity of the membrane shall be maintained by minimum laps
of 150mm.
All areas of the membrane exposed above ground shall be
protected with appropriate flashing.
Inspection would be submitted for approval of the Engineer.
Before fixing of steel reinforcement for foundation, the membrane
shall be covered by one layer of polythene sheet and poured with
50 mm thick layer of cement sand screed.

Purpose:
Concrete blocks are Versatile, durable and strong, completely fire
resistant, excellent sound insulation. Also ideal background for dry
lining wet finishes and fixings. Inherent thermal mass acts as heat store.
These are proven and familiar building method with no risk. Widely and
readily available and Cost effective.

Construction Method for Pump Station
Clean the floor, under wall course of dirt using brush. Remove
any slurry, laitance, leaving a sound concrete.
Setting out for unit masonry work for each building in respect to
coordinates from approved shop drawing.
Lay out walls for accurate spacing of surface bond patterns and for
accurate location of
Wet bricks before laying, allow units to absorb water so they are
dump but not wet at the time of laying the course.
Wet the floor under walls
For starting course on footings spread out full mortar bed,
including areas under cell, following the approved setting of walls.
Masonry unit will be laid with full coverage mortar on horizontal
and vertical shells and will maintain a joint thickness of 10mm
minimum and 12mm maximum for joints.
Connection between walls and partition should be bonded, tied by
using wall angle to be nailed in the column before the succeeding
layer is laid. For a partition to be connected to an adjacent wall,
this will be done by toothing.
Submitting “Work Inspection Request” to the consultant to get
approval on the first course. It should be signed by all concerned
related discipline for coordination purposes.
After layout approval, courses shall be laid to comply with
specified construction tolerances, with courses accurately spaced
and coordinated with other construction. No higher than six
courses shall be laid in one day.
At stopping and resuming work in each course, rack back one-half
running bond or one-third unit length for one third running bond,
clean exposed surfaces of set masonry and remove loose masonry
units and mortar before laying fresh masonry.
