Information can be gathered from print, broadcast and online source.
Print Source is a material that has been printed and can be produced in a
hard copy. These items can stay in offices or homes for months or even
for years. Examples of print resources include but are not limited to
textbooks, journals, posters, newspaper, magazines, workbook and
reference books.
In gathering information from print source you must consider the
following characteristics;
Accuracy- The information must be correct. It is reliable and free from
flaws and with high quality.
Timeliness-Information should be up-to-date.
Completeness-Information should provide all the needed
information.It must answer the WH questions.
Consistency-It is a state of reaching a level that does not differ greatly in
quality over time. Information should be unchanging.
Relevance- Information should suit the demand, interests of the readers.
Uniqueness-Information must be distinct in order to be useful. It can be
easily adapted if it is visually pleasing.
