Subject Description: The development of communication skills in English for academic and professional purposes.

Culminating Performance Standard: The learner produces a detailed abstract of information gathered from the various academic texts read.

Performance Task: You are one of the writers of Western Colleges Inc. School Publication - The Western Gazette. For next month’s issue, it has been decided that Western
Colleges Inc. High School Department will be featured. (Situation) Hence, as a writer of Western Gazette (Role), individually need to produce a one-page concept paper that
endorses the said school (Goal) to other students (Audience). Together with the concept paper is a report that states the basic information about the school, including its features
and number of students of JHS per grade level, and of SHS per academic strand.(Product) The editor-in-chief and adviser will read all the submitted entries to choose the top
three outputs. Those chosen will have the opportunity to be featured in the school official FB page. Hence, your output should be interesting, accurate, and organized. (Standard)
