ATTEMPERATOR. 1.1 TEMP HIGH
ALARM : 412 °C
TRIP : 475 °C FOR 2 SEC.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
 Over firing in the evaporator section
due to firing disturbances namely:
- Mill start-up
- Mill shutdown.
- Mill running empty.
- Mill losses.
- Draught start-ups.
- Too high excess air values.
 Feed flow less than steam flow for
extended period during:
- Loss of EFP’s.
- Feed control manual.
- Faulty enthalpy control.

- Main steam pressure.
- Total fuel flow.
- Feed water flow.
- Steam flow.
- Total air flow. (O2 values).
Note:
- Over reaction should be avoided.
- Wait at least 10 minutes for unit to stablise.
- Boiler load signal (black needle) and capability signal (red
needle) to be balanced before trip plant is re-started.
