Dear Sir,
Reply to the HKN Letter Dated 29 th Dec 2021 – Non-compliance for the fire landing door
certificate (HKN-SUB-HAJV-4233).

We are writing you as a reply with two references mentioned in the subject letter.

1. Observation report GTEC-IRE-0059 dated on 10th December 2021.

2. BSC letter WF/2021/1.1.1/27.4/2853 dated on 24th December 2021.

It can be recognized that, two issues in BD#4 as ‘Corrosion of elevator components’ and ‘Elevator
entrances with deficient fire guards’.

Corrosion of elevator components.

We would like to bring your attention on that, corrosion had been initiated due water seepage into
elevator shafts during installation stages. We have informed this issue to the responsible personals of
HKN in all occasions however, due to poor coordination and inadequate preventive actions, water
seepage from several floors continued into the elevator shafts despite the consultant also has pointed
out the same issue to the HKN.

As a result of water seepage the iron rust has been formed which is visible in some elevator parts as
mentioned in the subjected report. Anyhow, we have already coordinated with the factory and will
deploy our team in order to resolve this issue accordingly ASAP.

Also in addition to that, corrosion of the separator beams has been mentioned in the report for our
reference which is not under our scope. Please kindly coordinated with the subcontractor who has
carried out the separator beam installation work.
Elevator entrances with deficient fire guards.

As the second matter, it is comprehensive that, the elevator entrances have been completed with
deficient fire guards which has been already informed to the factory requesting a proposal for
rectification of the issue. We will submit the rectification plan to the HKN ASAP.
