00:03:56
I have a brilliant idea, Bethany, you should petition for an outside organization
like advocates for you to come in a few times a year and.
00:04:03
Actually teach the kids about slots.
00:04:05
Why would I do that I?

Work in admissions, but in future the children.

00:04:11
Nonprofit space there was anyone with money.

Where does that fall in the healthy spectrum?
00:04:35
You think hold.

On filling Karen Heart or Poly amorous.
00:04:39
What you said, is it dangerous?
00:04:40
Not if they always use condoms.
00:04:42
Poly amorous just means open.
00:04:43
It's like cheating with permission.
00:04:45
So not cheating at.
00:04:46
All, why would they do that?
00:04:47
Why would they?
00:04:48
Tell you they didn't tell.
00:04:49
Me, I watch them talk about.
00:04:50
It on the nanny Cam Mia.
00:04:52
What they can watch me?

00:05:01
Story or not, you wanna hear this story?
00:05:02
We want to your.
00:05:08
It was a dark and stormy night.
00:05:10

00:05:12
Our basement flooded, sorry.
00:05:14
Come on.
00:05:15
The conversation started with a.
00:05:16
Fight, they always argue about Karen hobbies.
00:05:19
How often are?
00:05:20
You watching this nanny Cam footage?
00:05:22
Sometimes the Wi-Fi goes out and.
00:05:24
That's all I.
00:05:24
Have and what about books?
00:05:27
Phil had had.
00:05:28
One of those days and was feeling exhausted.
00:05:31
I'm exhausted, can we do this another time?
00:05:33
You never want to scrapbook.
00:05:35
Scrapbook is that.
00:05:37
What they call sacks?
00:05:39
I wish then I wouldn't have to.
00:05:40
Clean up fabric and stickers all day.
00:05:42
So please you.
00:05:42
Don't clean, I don't claim personally, but I watch Isabella do it and I can tell it
makes her unhappy.
00:05:47
The help has to stick together.
00:05:48
I scrapbooks sometimes.
00:05:50
Of course you do.
00:05:51
May you please continue?
00:05:52
Karen was hungry so the fight spiraled pretty quickly.
00:05:55
She somehow spun, fills disinterest in scrapbooking into a general disinterest in
her and their life together.
00:06:00
Isn't that a bit of a loom?
00:06:01
I can.
00:06:02
See how she got there.
00:06:03
I almost.
00:06:03
Thought Steve was.
00:06:04
Gay because he didn't like my dress now.
00:06:06

00:06:06
In my guest room, well, Bethany, oh it's fine.
00:06:09

00:06:21
You don't say that.
00:06:22
Don't put yourself down.
00:06:23
I'm not humans.
00:06:25
Are complex creatures.
00:06:26
A single person can't fulfill every desire.
00:06:28
Where are you going with?
00:06:29
This I don't.
00:06:30
Want to be rude but.
00:06:32
You're not enough for me.
00:06:33
That's incredibly rude.
00:06:36
Because we're married?
00:06:37
Because, you know, because.
00:06:38
We've been taught monogamy is the only feasible option.
00:06:40
What is this some?
00:06:41
Oprah crap no.
00:06:43
Her show went away years ago.
00:06:44
I get all my advice online now.
00:06:46
Well, well, that's a relief.
00:06:47
We know they only let the real experts post online.
00:06:50
You're angry.
00:06:51
Re astute, did you take another psychology course at the University of Phoenix?
00:06:55
You know the Internet calms me.
00:07:00
Try to think about what I'm actually saying.
00:07:02
I'm not asking.
00:07:04
You for a.
00:07:04
Divorce I'm not leaving you, I'm simply suggesting we open ourselves up to other
opportunities.
00:07:10
What kind of opportunities?
00:07:12
I don't know a friendly stranger, another couple from a well rated 3 some app.
00:07:19
Come on, I know you have a thing for Charlotte from work.
00:07:21
How did you?
00:07:22
Know that I saw a photo.
00:07:23
Of her which?
00:07:24
One I don't.
00:07:25

00:07:30

00:07:32
But surely would never go for.
00:07:33
Me don't say that.
00:07:35
I went for you.
00:07:36
And she and I are basically like twins.
00:07:38
Oh yeah, totally.
00:07:40
This is different than regular dating.
00:07:42
There's not as much pressure we have each other.
00:07:45
We have a home.
00:07:46
Anything else is just.
00:07:47
Icing on the cake.
00:07:48
I would have been more into this from the beginning if you hadn't started with,
I'm not.
00:07:52
Enough for you.
00:07:52
Do you want a sandwich?
00:07:53
To see me.
00:07:56
That was it.
00:07:57
That was all it took for him.
00:07:58
To agree to ruin their.
00:07:59
Marriage, whoa what?
00:08:01
What's the point of being married?
00:08:02
If you want to sleep.
00:08:03
With other people, most married couples want to sleep with other people.
00:08:07
I don't.
00:08:07
Well, you have a low sex drive.
00:08:09
I told you that in.
00:08:10
Confidence hey why?
00:08:11
Can't I know about your low sex drive?
00:08:13
Do you think I'm going to judge you?
00:08:14
No, I thought you would try to fix it I.
00:08:17
Would not, although I did just start taking these amazing vitamins, they will
change your life.
00:08:21
No, send you some links.
00:08:21
I'll send you some links.
00:08:22
I won't open them, I've.
00:08:24
Always thought Phil Hartman sexy.
00:08:26
Seriously, my boss Fillhart with the socks and sandals.
00:08:30
Huh, me and boss Phil ha.
00:08:32
Or would the widows?
00:08:33
Peak down to his nose.
00:08:36
I love mean Bethany.
00:08:37
I blame you too.
00:08:38
I'm very nice at home.
00:08:40

00:08:41
I'm attracted to their energy was very successful.
00:08:44
He stains his underwear on the regular according to.
00:08:46

00:08:48
I don't understand where this arrangement works or they just allowed to.
00:08:50
Do anything we want.
00:08:51
I think you mean.
00:08:52
Anyone, no and no.
00:08:54
They set up some.
00:08:55

00:08:57
We need to set up.
00:08:57
Some ground rules, no ainle.
00:08:59
What if you won't let me do it?
00:09:01
You can't do it.
00:09:02
With someone else.
00:09:03
I would let you do it.
00:09:05
You don't want to.
00:09:06
Do it, oh.
00:09:07
I guess you're right.
00:09:08
I remember that wrong.
00:09:10
OK well one.
00:09:11
I think we should tell each other.
00:09:12
Everything why we don't tell each other everything.
00:09:15
Now, and that's part of the problem.
00:09:17
We're not connecting.
00:09:18
This can be like a shared hobby.
00:09:20
You have a very loose definition of hobby giving your thumb.
00:09:23
I wasn't looking at it, I.
00:09:24
Swear I'm not punishing you.
00:09:26
I'm downloading Tinder.
00:09:32
I'm going to jump ahead here because there was a 20 minute argument about the
slow Wi-Fi, and deleting pictures on Phil's phone to.
00:09:37
Make room for the app.
00:09:38

00:10:04
Pass why we know her?
00:10:07
Exactly, it's safe.
00:10:09

00:10:19
With Phil, there's no limit to a.
00:10:20
Person capacity for love.
00:10:22
Disagree, I can only tolerate up to four people on any given day.
00:10:25

00:11:19
So how was it fine?
00:11:21
Weird, weird, how?
00:11:23

00:11:24
Wasn't my wife, why?
00:11:25
Did she wear?
00:11:26

What did she say?
00:11:42
She wanted to make sure you.
00:11:43
Knew where I was and what I was doing.
00:11:45
That's so sweet.
00:11:46
She always seems sweet.
00:11:48
Did you guys?
00:11:48
Do it, Jesus, Karen.
00:11:50
You sound like a.
00:11:50
Middle school I know isn't this fun?
00:11:53
We made.
00:11:54
Out in the parking lot.
00:11:54
It Oh my God.
00:11:56
It was nuts.
00:11:57
I just went for it.
00:11:58
Right there in public.
00:11:58
So proud of you, baby.
00:12:03
Karen kissed him after he made out with another woman.
00:12:06
They did more than kiss.
00:12:08
I snuffed out around third base.
00:12:10
Would have gone sooner but my foot fell asleep.
00:12:12
Steve told me he kissed someone else, I wouldn't.
00:12:14
Touch him for.
00:12:15
A month which Larry would touch someone.
00:12:17
Else maybe she could point out how.
00:12:18
Sweaty, his palms are that's.
00:12:20
Not getting any better I keep.
00:12:22
Recommending an acupuncture IST but.
00:12:23
Is afraid of massage table.
00:12:25
Is this like a fetish?
00:12:27
Being excited when your partner is with someone.
00:12:29
Else I'm so happy you know the word fetish.
00:12:31
Aren't they worried about how this will affect their?
00:12:33
Children, so he's still pooping her pants.
00:12:35
I doubt she'll pick up on the nuances of polyamory, but.
00:12:38
Lauren son is in 8th grade.
00:12:40
Keep doing dumb anymore.
00:12:41
I found two girls selling their dads Viagra in the 4th floor bathroom.
00:12:44
How much per pill?
00:12:46
I don't no.
00:12:46
I sent sister Thompson in to deal with it.
00:12:48
I'm not a good.
00:12:49
Disciplinarian really yell at us all.
00:12:51
The time well, you provoke.
00:12:52
Me, would you ever do?
00:12:53
But I mean open your marriage.
00:12:55
Absolutely not.
00:12:56
I'd have to get married first.
00:12:58
Oh, I forgot to ask what happened with the.
00:12:59
Car guy.
00:13:00
He showed me a picture of him in the bath with his mother, so I stopped
answering his.
00:13:04
Calls, was it a?
00:13:05
Recent photo and I want to.
00:13:07
Talk about it, it's giving.
00:13:08
Me nightmares or so strange.
00:13:11
Never mind.
00:13:11
You know the rules.
00:13:12
No, never mind.
00:13:14
But it's nothing.
00:13:15
It's just a feeling.
00:13:16
We're going to need you to.
00:13:17
Be more specific and now I'm going to need another coffee.
00:13:20
So you know how we have.
00:13:22
A new parish priest, final Williams, Caitlin mentioned it.
00:13:26
She says he's very tall with huge feet.
00:13:29
She's definitely having sex.
00:13:30
I need to get her.
00:13:31
On the pill.
00:13:33
I can't be sure, but I think he's.
00:13:36
A serial killer.
00:13:37
What what, what, what did I?
00:13:40
Miss Bethany thinks her priest is a serial killer.
00:13:43
Who fleeced down?
00:13:44
I didn't see that she did OK.
00:13:46
Well, I shouldn't have said.
00:13:48
That he. Just gives me the heebie jeebies so.
00:13:50
You jumped to serial.
00:13:52
Killer, you're watching.
00:13:53
Way too much. True crime.
00:13:54
You haven't met him.
00:13:55
Something is off.
00:13:56
He's to murdering.
00:13:58
Yeah, exactly.
00:14:00
I know what's going on.
00:14:01
You have a thing for him what no?
00:14:03
Yes, and it's making you so uncomfortable that you've made up this crazy
theory to explain your interest in him.
00:14:09
That's brilliant.
00:14:10
How did you figure that out so?
00:14:11
Quickly, I have an incredibly high IQ you.
00:14:14
Believe Hermia sure it makes more sense than him.
00:14:17
Being a serial killer, romantic feelings are complicated.
00:14:20
Whenever I like someone a small part of me wants to harm him.
00:14:23
What it's fine, I don't act.
00:14:26
Got it.
00:14:27
But I I shouldn't.
00:14:28
Have said anything.
00:14:29
I'm sure Father Williams is a lovely man.
00:14:31
He comes highly recommended and his clothes are always perfectly ironed.
00:14:34
So what if he gives Me goosebumps whenever he walks into a room.
00:14:37
No biggie.
00:14:38
And this.
00:14:39
Is why I.
00:14:39
Work for myself.
00:14:41
I can't stand having a boss.
00:14:43
Oh, I'm sorry.
00:14:44
Did you hire yourself without telling us?
00:14:46
Being a stay at home Mom is a full time job.
00:14:48
I'm basically the CEO of a small business.
00:14:50
It's called domestic engineering.
00:14:52
I see.
00:14:53
And what were your profits last quarter I?
00:14:55
Gotta type chip.
00:14:56
Honestly, I fire Larry if you didn't bring home all the money.
00:14:59
Have you thought about going back to work?
00:15:00
I mean, maybe starting New York when Caitlin needs for college.
00:15:04
Or put some feelers out.
00:15:05
There we want to make sure it's the right opportunity.
00:15:08
I don't know why.
00:15:09
Anyone would work if they didn't have to.
00:15:11
I'd marry a rich old guy if.
00:15:12
Old people didn't revolt me.
00:15:14
What if he was?
00:15:15
So old he couldn't get.
00:15:16
It up I consider it you.
00:15:17
Shouldn't throw your life away for.
00:15:19
It was a hypothetical.
00:15:21
Do you know it's not?
00:15:22
A hypothetical though in Karen wanting to sleep with me.
00:15:25
Yeah, actually want to.
00:15:26
Sleep with you.
00:15:27
I want to.
00:15:27
Sleep with you.
00:15:28
Get your hand off my leg.
00:15:29
Valerie sorry, I actually said that, but they want to have sex.
00:15:32
With you, not directly, but it was implied when.
00:15:36
00:15:37
When I entered the open plan kitchen.
00:15:43
Do you think Sony wants cheese or Turkey today?
00:15:46
Oh, I already packed her lunch.
00:15:47
It's in the fridge.
00:15:48
Have some breakfast.
00:15:49
Oh wow, that's so nice.
00:15:52
We just wanted to say thank you this past year and a half has been seamless from
Zoe.
00:15:57
You feel like part of the family.
00:15:59
Then Karen touched my hand and squeezed it.
00:16:04
That's it.
00:16:05
Well, Phil also brushed my ask on the way to the garbage disposal.
00:16:08
But that might have been an accident.
00:16:09
Yeah, I'm so sorry.
00:16:10
It's fine I think.
00:16:11
It's cute they want.
00:16:12
To welcome me into their family.
00:16:14
Oh oh, what?
00:16:17
They definitely want to have a menajahtwa.
00:16:19
Because Zoe had a seamless year and a.
00:16:20
Half I'm sorry but you.
00:16:22
Two have sex on the brain.
00:16:23
Sometimes people are.
00:16:24
Just nice, and sometimes they're serial killers.
00:16:26
Telling you Father Williams doesn't smile with his.
00:16:29
Eyes, are you OK chill sorry.
00:16:30
Alright, So what are you going?
00:16:32
To do, I'm going to make it clear that I'm an employee and.
00:16:34
I don't want any part of their open marriage.
00:16:37
Just kidding, I'm going to leave them on so that I can.
00:16:39
Get free stuff.
00:16:40
Yeah, she made always lunch today Bethany.
00:16:42
I can't just.
00:16:42
Let that go.
00:16:43
Talk some sense into her.
00:16:44
Valerie, she could lose her job, how?
00:16:47
'cause of paying for sex?
00:16:49
Human trafficking?
00:16:51
Human trafficking
00:16:52
You know what I?
00:16:52
Mean you always know what I mean, I think.
00:16:55
Mia should do whatever feels right.
00:16:56
For me, yeah, as long as it's loosely within the confines of federal.
00:16:59
And state law.
00:17:00
Which is harder than it sounds.
00:17:04
2nd, that's it for me folks.
00:17:09
I hope you enjoy the rest of your commute or wherever the.
00:17:11
Day takes you.
00:17:12
As mother used to say, death comes when you least expect it.
00:17:15
So enjoy the ride she was.
00:17:18
A horrible driver.
00:17:29
Whoa, that was a fun episode.
00:17:31
Stick around after the break for Hot Goss featuring Alexis Jezel.
00:17:48
Welcome back to Hot Goss featuring Alexis geez all.
00:17:52
Should I speak?
00:17:52
Yeah, you can always speak it's.
00:17:54
Me I am.
00:17:55
Here, it's true, we're here and we are talking hot Goss, not lukewarm ladies and
gents not lukewarm.
00:18:01
Now I'll throw you off the show if it's.
00:18:03
Lukewarm yeah I'm going.
00:18:04
Hot hot hot stove all the way.
00:18:07
Yeah, OK, so where?
00:18:09
What is the craziest gossip that you grew up with?
00:18:12
OK, so here here's the story that first came to mind.
00:18:16
So I grew up in a town called.
00:18:18
Scottsdale, AZ heard of it.
00:18:20
Lots of white people.
00:18:21
It's full of white people and not much else.
00:18:25
Right, a lot of dolls.
00:18:25
Lot of golf and.
00:18:27
A lot of retirees.
00:18:28
OK, great yeah.
00:18:29
They're still white.
00:18:30
Yes, everyone, white and it's all the things that attract white people as well.
00:18:34
Uh, so I grew up a competitive gymnast and that was a super intense
environment, so I don't really remember how old I was.
00:18:41
Probably around like 10. Maybe not and like 8-9 ten around there and there was
this girl who was in our my gymnastics group and she was like super annoying she
was causing trouble but she was like the best gymnast on.
00:18:43
OK.
00:18:53
The team, oh, really.
00:18:55
And there was also a big and this is like.
00:18:58
Embarrassing somewhat to say now, but there's a big stigma because she had less
money than the other girls on the team.
00:19:05
No, yeah, but she was mean so OK, so I don't know what the correlation is there.
00:19:07
Oh thanks.
00:19:11
But that's just the information so you can form.
00:19:13
Your own judgment.
00:19:14
OK, great.
00:19:14
Should we give her a fake name?
00:19:16
Sure what?
00:19:17
What do you think?
00:19:18
I'm Sheila Sheila.
00:19:20
OK, so.
00:19:20
But if that was her name, it wasn't right.
00:19:20
Loves it was OK great.
00:19:22
Never know her name was super weird and specific, so she looks perfect.
00:19:26
OK, uhm?
00:19:28
And she was on the team and she didn't have to pay as much as other people
because her family didn't have as much money, which was obviously like fine.
00:19:38
But there was a weird like there was like a weird vibe there, so there was already
a weird vibe to begin with and.
00:19:45
Then is this like kind of thing 'cause you're all kids that your parents are there
too?
00:19:48
All the time too.
00:19:49
Yes, OK.
00:19:49
So parents are super involved, so this is all information.
00:19:51
We are told from.
00:19:52
Oh, they're the gossipers.
00:19:54
They were the gossipers.
00:19:55
Yeah, Jim, mom gossip is very very real.
00:19:57
Huge gossip called shows about it exactly.
00:19:58
Staff said they make their.
00:20:00
Yeah, it's Dance Moms, but gymnastic OK?
00:20:02
Got it, you know, this Sarah Palin, the hockey mom and lipstick.
00:20:05
People joke that.
00:20:07
One no.
00:20:08
I'm sure.
00:20:08
Some of our listeners know where you're.
00:20:10
Talking great, that's for you guys and the rest of you, no, you don't get that.
00:20:14
That's an inside joke we just had so.
00:20:17
There was this.
00:20:18
One incident where the the like the father and the mother of this young girl, she
of Sheila yeah, yes, they're going to fight with like the the.
00:20:31
Gymnastics coaches there was like a big tiff and I don't know.
00:20:33
Exactly what this was about.
00:20:35
And later we found out there was this incident where they went out on a boat
with a few other of the gymnastics friends is already so much better than I
thought it would be.
00:20:45
Anything involving a boat, just like increases the.
00:20:46
Oh yeah.
00:20:47
Stakes dramatically, yeah, there's dramatic.
00:20:50
Boats takes so they they went.
00:20:50
OK, great.
00:20:51
On this boat with like a couple.
00:20:52
Of the other families that were involved.
00:20:55
With the kid with the kids, yeah, so it was the kids and the families and like some
of the older brothers and all that stuff went on the boat with Sheila family.
00:21:01
OK and so.
00:21:02
They're all having apparently the best time on this.
00:21:05
Huh, I'm on the edge of.
00:21:06
And there was a lot of drinking that happened on the boat, but not everyone was
of age and there were some young ends on the boat and they're.
00:21:09
Oh no.
00:21:13
Supplying them with alcohol.
00:21:15
How young were like 10 proteins OK?
00:21:16
I think.
00:21:17
Like so like the not Sheila, but like she was friends older siblings but not their
kids.
00:21:23
So like it was like and if he.
00:21:25
Like the parents would have been ****** you know, if they.
00:21:26
Uh oh.
00:21:27
Found out it like.
00:21:28
Wasn't there place you know so?
00:21:30
Sheila's parents were providing underage kids on.
00:21:33
The boat with alcohol.
00:21:35
Yes, and the parents were piston so the parents found out and also something
that came to light much later as well.
00:21:42
The Sheila's dad was driving them home. He got a DUI and everyone in the car
got breathalyzed. All of the miners in.
00:21:49
The car got breathalyzed.
00:21:50
And saw that he got I I believe.
00:21:53
Arrested for driving under the influence with minors under the influence.
00:21:58
In the car, or at least that's the version of the story that became the gossip that
went around the gym.
00:22:03
That's incredible. Thank you so.
00:22:05
Much, did that put the fear of God in you to not go?
00:22:07
Well, I think.
00:22:09
On boats also no love boats.
00:22:12
Listen would never turn down a boating opportunity.
00:22:14
Love the wind in my hair, but I think it was used as an example by my parents of
like don't do this because this will happen and then.
00:22:22
Everyone will.
00:22:23
And it was very much like they were given they were like we're going to have an
adult conversation with you and tell you about something that happened.
00:22:28
And then you're never going to.
00:22:29
Well, anyone to get and I did but.
00:22:31
This is, yeah, I would tell everybody that story.
00:22:34
Yeah, it was a pretty iconic moment.
00:22:36
I love that they use the fear of everybody will know.
00:22:39
Yes, that was a huge thing in Arizona.
00:22:42
That was like the worst thing that could happen is like you do something bad and
then everybody finds out.
00:22:46
And that's like the punishment in it of itself.
00:22:48
Oh wow.
00:22:48
I guess 'cause like.
00:22:49
Not that much goes on in Arizona.
00:22:51
Not that.
00:22:52
Much and then just a lot of uh, like you should behave this way or like shouldn't
behave that way.
00:22:58
Being sort of like the social norms, I guess I like a lot of times I'd be like oh like,
don't listen to that, but you probably shouldn't be drunk driving.
00:23:07
Underage kids who were also drunk listen probably.
00:23:10
I'm gonna go ahead.
00:23:11
And agree, I'm gonna agree with that.
00:23:13
Yeah, that was that.
00:23:14
Was a good lesson?
00:23:14
Yes yeah I.
00:23:15
Guess that that one went.
00:23:16
For the good.
00:23:17
So I just like to end each episode of hot gas by asking.
00:23:21
Looking back now, what percent of that story do you think is?
00:23:24
True, I think 75%.
00:23:26
Pretty high, pretty high.
00:23:28
I feel pretty.
00:23:29
Good about it.
00:23:30
Thank you so much for listening to Hot Goss with Alexis she's.
00:23:33
All you're welcome.
00:23:33
I listen to.
