Progress Report: Weeks 11-12: Week/Topic Learning Objective
Progress Report: Weeks 11-12: Week/Topic Learning Objective
MICROBIOLOGY
The Progress Report provides a “snapshot” about how you are performing in the key
units of our lesson. This is to summarize the status and progress you made as you move
along the course topics. It should be submitted every two (2) weeks which means that after
we cover two (2) lessons. To accomplish this, honestly assess yourself and fill out the table
below with a check mark.
Application of Lesson:
As a biology student, I learned a lot in the two weeks since it made me understand how
important it is to be informed of various diseases in order to properly care for oneself. They
are not to be taken for granted, as they can have a significant impact on our lives. Some are
even deadly and terrifying. Despite this, weeks 11 and 12 taught me to be more courageous
to fight viral infections and to not be frightened to look for treatments as an aspiring
healthcare provider. That is why these two weeks in microbiology were really beneficial to
me and drove me to be even more motivated in my chosen field, since it highlighted
significant advancements in the discipline and provided updated recommendations to handle
scientific issues.
Not only have the last two weeks been difficult for me, but they have undoubtedly been
difficult for my classmates as well. We've had to juggle a number of pending projects and
activities, as well as written works that needed to be completed quickly in order to meet
deadlines. I understand that this is a natural part of college life, but I believe it is the reason I
haven't gotten enough sleep for the previous three weeks. As a result, I was unable to
prepare for the final exams. Unlike my classmates, I have a lot of trouble completing my
works. For a single task, I normally put in a lot of time to complete it because I'm unable to
concentrate. I acknowledge I am not as bright as others, but it is because of my
determination that I am still here, striving. The fact that I might fail this topic is causing me
concern right now. Because, despite my best efforts to study diligently, I had poor grades and
even failed my final exam. At the very least, this semester is over, I'll finally have time to rest
(but I still have a bunch of pending works). Whatever happens, I'll be able to claim that I tried
my hardest to learn— and I believe that is the essence of facing hardships.
