Focus skill : Reading

Time : 9.20 am – 10.20 am (60 minutes)

Enrolment : 33 pupils (Boys: 22, Girls: 11)

Class : 5 Mantap (Above Average)

Theme : World of Knowledge

Topic : Unit 12 Unique Buildings

Content Standard : 2.2 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able
to demonstrate understanding of variety of linear and non-
linear texts in the form of print and non-print materials using a
range of strategies to construct meaning.

Learning Standards : 2.2.1 Able to apply word attack skills by:

(a) using contextual clues to get meaning of words:

(i) before the word (anaphoric)

(ii) after the word (cataphoric)

(b) identifying idioms

By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:

Behavioural : 1. read the texts (reading text) aloud with correct rhythm,
objectives pronunciation and stress with guidance.

2. answer at least four out of five questions in Worksheet A


correctly.
