MISIBIS BAY RESORT

Misibis Bay is located in the province of Albay, which is famed for its wonderfully
sculpted Mayon Volcano. It is ideal for people seeking a blend of tranquillity and
excitement. The tropical getaway is a private island resort where visitors can either rest
under the palm palms or go on an adventure in the sun.
This 5-hectare island resort is accessible from Manila through a 50-minute flight
to Legazpi, then a picturesque 50-minute road trip or a 30-minute quick watercraft ride.

Misibis Bay's upscale ambience and service make it unsurprising that it is pricier
than most resorts in Albay. The cheapest room costs P11,000 with a discount. And the
most luxurious ones cost more than twice as much as the cheapest. Going to this resort
will not be cheap, and you will need a lot of extra money to fully enjoy the resort's
amenities, activities, and services. As a result, based on Cohen's Tourist Typology, the
organized mass tourists are the greatest fit for Misibis Bay guests. The environmental
bubble is extremely important to organized mass tourists. They are distinguished by
completely packaged vacations. They frequently stay in Western-style hotels. I picked
this typology because I feel it is the most appropriate kind to characterize Misibis Bay's
guests, just because it encourages a hassle-free experience. And, considering that
potential extra costs at Misibis Bay will not be cheap, it is recommended that travelers
be well-organized and take advantage of packaged offers.

When it comes to Smith's Tourist Typology, the elite tourists are the ideal kind to
characterize Misibis Bay's guests/consumers. Elite tourists, according to Smith, are
rarely seen. They use the pre-arranged amenities and adjust fully, though momentarily,
to local customs. According to my study, elite tourists are the sorts of visitors that travel
for enjoyment and leisure. They are self-motivated visitors. They are familiar with native
culture and are curious about the way of life of the locals. When we think of the word
“elite” we often think about those people who are above average, the privileged, and
those who have the means to splurge.

Finally, I believe that the most appropriate type to characterize Misibis Bay
visitors is found in Amex's Tourist Typology. Amex's Tourist Typology is divided into five
categories. The adventurer, the worrier, the dreamer, the economizer, and the indulger.
Even without presenting the meaning or description of those categories of visitors, I
believe it is clear which type would best fit Misibis Bay's guests. It would be the
indulgers. Indulgers, according to Amex, are wealthy travelers that pay for the extra
comfort. And most often than not, they prefer five-star accommodations. Those that can
reach their expectations and level to their lifestyle. This type of tourists has a more
precise definition that describes the high-class or the rich travelers who don’t even need
to save up for their trip. Celebrities and social media influencers are often seen in this
resort, and it’s no secret that these people really do have the capacity to splurge on
travelling.
