5 minutes information. (1-10)
4.2 Activity
Do you have motorcycles or bicycles (other vehicle)? Who drives them? How
fast, you think, does he or she drives it? In driving any kind of vehicle, one

Average speed = distance = 500km = 100 k/h
5 minutes Time 5h
Answer: The car travels 100 kilometer per hour (100 km/h).
Note: The units we will use in our answer will depend on the units given. In our
problem the units used were kilometers and hours, so our answer will use
kilometer per hour or km/h.

4.5 Application
Emily runs at an average speed of 10 meters per second on a 200-meter track
field. How long does she finish running?
10 minutes Daniel’s motorcycle’s average speed is 150 km/h. If he drives it for 2 hours,
how far does he travel?
