This procedure shall be applied to the following:

 Disconnection and Dismounting of Electrical/Instrumentation Cable.

 Relocation of dismounting items.

2. REFERENCE:

 As per Dismounting drawings

3. DEFINITION:

4. SAFETY:

 Obtain proper work permit for the job and implement all the requirements.
 Barricade the area and expose sign boards saying “DISMOUNTING KEEP
AWAY”.
 Safety officer/supervisor shall frequently monitor the job.
 Competent supervisor with good safety knowledge shall full time monitor the
job.
 Workers with good safety knowledge shall be deputed for the job.
 Pre task discussion shall be conducted before starting the job.
 Report all incidents/accidents immediately.
 During the dismounting the area shall be restricted to unauthorized entries only.
 All equipments shall be inspected for proper functioning prior to use.
 Provide fire extinguishers for all equipments to prevent fire sources.
 All tools and equipments shall meet Aramco Standard..
 Demolished materials shall be removed on daily basis.
 All employees shall use proper PPE for their work..

5. PREPARATION:

 Ensure the work permit for the job.


 Whole system shall be identified which to be disconnect and demolished as
per dismounting drawing.
 Electrical/instrument cables shall be disconnected from the system..

6. PROCEDURE:

The steps shall be followed in following order for dismounting of system:

Electrical/Instrumentation Dismounting

 Power, lighting and instrument cables shall be field disconnected from final
users after Refinery operation have provided safe isolation in Substation &
control Panels with pad locking and after an additional safety check carried
out by Nesma at site using tester device/tool to verify electrical isolation in
the whole area.
 Power, Lighting and Instrument cables shall be then rolled up to the nearest
termination point (panel or junction box) out side battery limit and gathered
in a proper manner for subsequent cutting tapping if required by refinery. In
case of under ground running, the cable shall be cut at battery limits and the
termination shall be tapped and back filled.
 Grounding shall be disconnected from Equipment, Piping and Skid.

7. STORAGE OF DEMOLISHED MATERIAL:

 All demolished materials shall be shifted & stored in Riyadh refinery storage
area in Chiyoda Yard.
 All bulk dismounted materials will be adequately collected and marked to
allow their easy reinstallation on skid, if requested by the company.
