BADMINTON SKILLS:
FINAL PRACTICAL TEST
Second Semester, A.Y. 2021-2022
I. Rationale
The activity will serve as an application of the knowledge gained by the students from the previous
topics for the enhancement of skills in playing badminton. This activity aims to optimize
individual’s ability to perform the basic skills of the game and measures their level of
understanding with regards to its rules and regulations. This will also focus on the ability of the
students to demonstrate positive attitude, enjoyment, and develop self-confidence as they go along
with the performance.
1. Students under the course PE 103: Physical Activities Towards Health-Fitness I are required to
submit an individual video of themselves discussing on how the game is being played according
to the following:
Basic skills of the game badminton indicating its proper way of execution.
Important rules and regulations to consider in playing badminton.
Used of badminton equipment; Students are given the choices with regards to the
equipment to use. They can buy or borrow badminton equipment if they want or if they
know someone who has such equipment; they can also make an alternatives or
homemade badminton equipment, for Shuttle cock for example, they can use the head
portion of an empty plastic bottle with its cup as an alternative. Refer to the pictures
below as your guide.
2. Students will be given additional 5 points for having presented equipment in the video.
3. The video must not go less than three minutes and must not exceed beyond five minutes.
4. Comfortable sports attire is required to wear (sweatpants, sweat shorts, etc.). Failure to follow
the dress code will have a deduction of 5 points.
5. Indicate the name and section at the beginning of the video.
6. Make sure to record a video in a place with enough space in your homes or in your backyard to
avoid any hindrances in your execution and also to ensure safety. “Stay at home” must be
observed.
7. Submit your videos to our closed group in Facebook writing your complete name in the
caption.
8. Submission of the video is anytime on December 3, 2021.
