Objective-
(1) Orientation of the agency
(2) Planning of the field work
Work Done-
First of all I visited the agency to meet the supervisor Sudhanshu
Ranjan and he was the person to brief me about the purpose of
their NGO and their history. After that we discussed about the
work area of their NGO and where can I work with them. Upon
discussing for 2-3 hours we draw a basic chart for my field activity
period. I told him about my situation that I was lagging behind my
other classmates in field works so there was need that I had to
work for three days in a week to cope up with the others and he
granted me permission for this. The NGO basically works in the
rural area and sometimes in semi urban area with self help
groups. Their motive is to help the SHG by providing them
knowledge about the different government schemes through
organising workshop for the members. Also while organising
workshop the topic is fixed in consideration with the members of
SHG group. The structure of workshop is simple and the
language used is local. First the worker is required to give
introduction of the topic and present his content. After that
members can ask their questions and doubts related to the topic.
Also if they have any problems related to the topic in real life then
it is the duty of the worker to provide them solutions. The location
of the workshop depends upon the interest of the SHG members.
Observation and Analysis-:
The NGO supervisor was quite helpful with me and he was a
experienced person in this field. It is my first such experience of
working outside and he made the situation calmer for me as I was
little bit nervous about this. Also he gave me few tips and tricks to
interact with SHG members.

Use of Theory-:
As it was my first experience so only the theory of communication
and interaction was used by me. As we will work more in field
then we will explore more of this.

Difficulties Faced:-
As it was basically a orientation meeting with NGO so no
difficulties were faced by me.

Future Plan:-
From tomorrow we will start working in the field and the real
interaction will start from there.
