Answer the questions comprehensively. Please expound your answer.

1. What is motion?
Motion is the process of something moving or changing place, or even just
changing position. There are a lot of factors involved every time something
moves. There are fewer factors involved if an object moves at the same speed in
a straight line. However, most movement involves changing the speed of the
movement and changing directions. This includes speed, velocity, acceleration,
force and mass.
2. How is motion affected by mass?
If a heavy or more massive object is in motion, more force must be applied
to get the object moving faster. If the same force is applied to two objects,
the object with the smaller mass will change speeds more quickly. In order
to slow down or stop more massive object, the force on that object must be
greater than for a less massive object. It is more difficult to change the
direction of a heavy moving object, than one that is lighter in mass.
3. What forces affect an object at rest?
Newton's First Law of Motion states that an object at rest will remain at rest
unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. An object in motion continues in
motion in the same direction and with the same speed unless acted upon by an
unbalanced force. Friction is a force that slows down the motion of a moving
object.
4. Enumerate and differentiate Newton's Law of motion and identify the formula used in
solving problems for the three Laws.
 Newton’s first law: the law of inertia

Newton’s first law states that if a body is at rest or moving at a constant speed in a
straight line, it will remain at rest or keep moving in a straight line at constant speed
unless it is acted upon by a force.
 Newton’s Second Law of Motion : Law of Mass and Acceleration
A body’s acceleration is directly proportional to the force exerted on it and is in the same
direction as the force.
F = ma
It states that the net force on a body is equal to the mass multiplied by the
acceleration.
 Newton's Third Law of Motion

To every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Newton's third is not a law
of motion but a law of forces. Newton's third law of motion posits that for every force
applied, there is always an equal and opposite reaction. Or, if one body exerts a
force on another, the second body exerts an equal and opposite force on the first. It
is not possible to exert a force on a body without a reaction, and the reaction exerted
by the body is exactly equal to the force being applied to the body, neither more nor
less.
