A Detailed Lesson Plan in Mathematics I

I – Objectives:
A. Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding of addition of whole
numbers up to 1,000, ordinal numbers up to 20th and money up to Ph100.
B. Performance Standard: The learner is able to recognize and represent ordinal numbers
up to 20th in various forms and contexts.
C. Learning competencies: The learner identifies, reads and writes ordinal numbers from
1st through the 20th object in a given set from a given point of reference.

C. Modelling
Again class, the numbers you have read earlier
are called as ordinal numbers. Everybody say
“Ordinal Numbers”.

Ordinal numbers are numbers used to show the


relative position of somebody or something in a
sequence.
It identifies the 1st, 2nd, 3rd up to the 20th object
in a given set from a given point of reference.

Like in the set of objects that we had earlier.


The scissors are in the 1st position because it is
number 1 from the left, 2nd is the watercolor because
it is in the number 2 from the left.
The pencil is in the 4th position.
(The teacher continues until the 20th position)
You take a look at these set of animals.

The horse is on the first position because it is
