REFLECTION PAPER

Last November 13, 2021 our instructor discussed about the importance of nature since
our topic was about how man should behave for the sustainability of mother earth. As we
discussed about it, I felt happy knowing that god really is great for giving us all we need through
nature. Also, I have learned that we should also be responsible in using nature, should not
abuse it and be grateful for having such blessings. The discussion was not boring, I understand
the discussion very well for my instructor deliver it in a way that we can understand. Also, I am
grateful for being able to attend and learn about these topics for this is important for me as a
teenager and it enlighten me about our surroundings.

I have learned that "Everything changes," according to Principle 4. All of us who live in this
world change not just physically but also our mental capability to understand things. As time
passes by, we get mature. Like what other people say, the only permanent thing in this world is
"change". Principle 5: "Everything must go somewhere." We should be mindful of what we are
doing because one day it might be back on us. For example, we should throw the trash in trash
bins, not just anywhere because one day we may suffer because of it. I believe that this saying,
"Don't do unto others what you don't want done unto you," fits into this principle. Principle 6:
“Ours is a finite earth”. The earth has a limit, so we should not abuse it. We should be
resourceful nowadays because we can't always rely on our environment. We should also do
things that can help our environment. Normalize taking care of our environment because it is
for our own good. I did a lot realization after understanding our nature. I realized that we
humans are the reason that some living things are getting extinct. Each one of us is responsible
for the damage of our nature. Many people are blinded by their selfish side and believe that
abusing nature is normal, those people don't have knowledge and broad understanding about
the existence of our nature. I have also realized that we can help bringing our nature back to
life by doing simple things and being a responsible individual. Environment does not exist only
for us but to all living things, we must share and take care of it in order to maintain our
resources for the next generation.

As a human being, I will do my part to protect, save and love our nature. I promise to be a
responsible individual in using nature's part. I would avoid things that are harmful to our
nature. I will start to join programs in promoting the beauty and spreading knowledge about
our mother nature. Lastly, I will educate the people around me about how to be a responsible
user of nature because it is one way of saving earth.
